So how about that Westbrook trade?

Not sure how this will turn out, but IMO the Rockets will be the most entertaining team in the league. I think Harden runs point, but I hope the same thing that happened with CP3 doesn't happen with Russ. I know he's not the most efficient, but he has been my favorite player since he came into the league. I'm glad he's out of OKC.

Do they get to play with two basketballs?

One can dream.. I think they do better than alot of people will predict this year. 4th in the west sound doable?

If Houston could have gotten Durant it would have re-united the original OKC trio.

They'll be an enjoyable train wreck

I don't think the Rockets will be any more entertaining than the Lakers. LeBron playing Point Guard invokes memories of Magic at that position. Additionally, a front court of AD, Cousins and Kuzma... WOW!!!

Yeah this trade really blew me away but I think it'll work because both of these need a Championship to solidify their legacies and I can absolutely c them getting there together of Westbrook can learn to be a more efficient scorer.

Westbrook has averaged a triple double the last few years hasn’t he? I think he’s a pretty efficient scorer and playmaker

Two ball dominant players, just not sure how it meshes.

He's a stat stuffer. Doesn't always make the right decisions. Shouldn't be jacking up 3s if you're averaging <30%

the western conference sounds like it'll be a lot of fun to watch

It's going to be highly entertaining. The first matchup between the Clippers & Lakers will be epic!

Hard to imagine there will be enough ball to go around. Hope it works but I wouldn't bet on it.

  • tfk_fanboytfk_fanboy Posts: 1,596 ✭✭✭✭✭ Graduate

yup. 4:15am comes early so I miss more stuff during the week than I catch

It'll work if James Harden agrees to stop pounding the rock through the hardwood while everyone else stands around watching and Russell Westbrook finally realizes that he can't shoot AT ALL and devotes himself to being a stellar defender against opposing PGs using his still excellent athleticism and focuses on being more of a table setter on Offense to empower the Capelas, Gordons, PJ Tucker's and Austin Rivers of the world while shooting only 12-15 times per game instead of the 20-25 times a game he's been averaging over the past few years with no more than 3 3 pointers per game.

Won't matter bc they have the worst playoff coach ever. Mike Dantoni is a good reg season coach but he's the reason they didn't beat G.S the last 2 years

If CP3 doesn't get hurt in game 6, Rockets would have closed them out that night. Bad luck on that one but no excuses for his time with the Suns

  • MeR3htidMeR3htid Posts: 2,438 ✭✭✭✭✭ Graduate

Something tells me that Russ and J. Harden r gonna dime each other up quite a bit this year and to sleep on Houston as a MAJOR Title Contender would be a mistake IMHO.

I don't know who plays PG, but in my opinion it should be Westbrook. RW is the best in The NBA at penetrating and dishing AND he's the best finisher. Harden on the other hand is the better set shooter and he's better at dishing from the circle. If their egos don't get in the way this could be the best guard tandem ever.
