I learned that electricity prices declined year on year but my bill increased 50% thanks to record heat and heat index.

I congratulate Dawgnms on having an epiphany while reading ''a thread like this'' then posting about that epiphany on this thread.

All you guys bashing flip-flops wouldn’t fit in where I live. The only time I don’t wear flip-flops is to work and when it’s cold. Its pretty much the State Shoe of the Florida Panhandle.

By the way, don’t wear flip-flops to the library. Trust me on this one...

Denman185. You might have an icing problem in your HVAC unit. It isn't uncommon when the weather stays very hot for a long time. That causes your cooling to be very inefficient and it forces it to run constantly to keep the inside temperature at the level the thermostat is set on. I had that happen a couple of years back during the last ''hottest summer ever'' it cost me a small fortune. I would have it looked at by a pro.Thank you very gosh dang much global warming.

I learned never to answer calls from numbers that have the same area code as me and the same first three digits (spoofing). It is always a credit card scam or an attempt to sell me solar panels.

It was serviced (annual contract) at the end of May. Feel like temps of 105-108 was the culprit both in terms of AC and extra showers, extra laundry in terms of both clothes and sweat towels etc.

I don't answer my phone period unless it's a contact. If you want to talk to me leave a message.

I learned it was entirely too hot to do much of anything this week.

HootiePepper, Thank gosh robo calls might be a thing of the past with the new legislation that outlaws them. I read that 60% of cell calls are now computer actuated robo calls. I learned to wait 2 seconds then hang up if I don't recognize the number since there's a lag before the computer connect robo calls.. If I do recognize the number I just let it ring till the caller gives up....I'm not big on phone conversations.

This week I learned that Plantar Fasciitis is no joke. Can also impact a host of other bones & muscles in the body.

Conveniently ties in to both @CTDawg and the flip flops posting.

Take care of your feet. They take you everywhere and you only get one set.

I look up such calls (never answer) on google and "Block Caller" if it shows as a scam, political, credit agency etc.

I've learned that my sweat glands work better than any other glands I got
