Hey folks - as a member of the DawgNation community, please remember to abide by simple rules of civil engagement with other members:
- Please no inappropriate usernames (remember that there may be youngsters in the room)
- Personal attacks on other community members are unacceptable, practice the good manners your mama taught you when engaging with fellow Dawg fans
- Use common sense and respect personal differences in the community: sexual and other inappropriate language or imagery, political rants and belittling the opinions of others will get your posts deleted and result in warnings and/ or banning from the forum
- 3/17/19 UPDATE -- We've updated the permissions for our "Football" and "Commit to the G" recruiting message boards. We aim to be the best free board out there and that has not changed. We do now ask that all of you good people register as a member of our forum in order to see the sugar that is falling from our skies, so to speak.

Yale - you watch a lot of that channel? Sounds like you know plenty about it...
I figured since the President was talking about it I should get familiar with it and stay informed.
Great video just posted with Gundy and RB1. Communication wins again...
link?
So who won? Who’s “changing”?
All mainstream news including Fox is garbage these days...I’ve never watched a single airing of OANN either. The only fact I’m challenging is today’s culture of going after someone’s preferences that don’t align with yours. Is that what we’ve stooped to? Is that the future? Are we seriously seeing someone refuse to go to work, school, cut off a relationships, etc.
Its a clown world.
did you miss the video? looks like he got his coaches attention and they talked it out. if anything, it worked. this is actually a good thing you know? calling coaches out on this, let's call it "blindspot" behavior where they can step up, have conversations with each other, grow and learn.
or is that a bridge too far?
Why did it need to be called out?
Yes. I do actually think that his behavior over someone else’s (Possible) different opinions went too far.
Your opinion of the matter of a “blind spot” is as biased as anyone’s.
Not sure you watched the video. If you did, you completely missed the point. BOTH men apologized. Maybe that's why it needed to be called out. BOTH sides got to work on something. BOTH sides got to learn something about the other. You seem so hell bent on proving your point that you miss the forest for the trees.
I get it, you want to play contrarian on a lot of these social issues we discuss here. Fine, do you, you're entitled to your opinion and I won't drag you for it. See what I did there? I let you have your moment. I'd still welcome you to my tailgate and offer you a beer. Probably that rando coors light someone brought (j/k).
However, I feel like we are living through a pretty significant moment our grandchildren will read about In their history kindles at school one day. Chuba called his coach out for something he felt was insensitive to him and other black players. He admitted he handled it the wrong way. Gundy, apologized with Chuba on camera and put it out in the world that he might've been insensitive. So he got to have a conversation with his player AND LISTEN to something a black man had to say and how it made him feel. And then Chuba got to hear Gundy and apologize for his actions and going to the internet instead of talking to him face to face like a man.
And from where I sit, speaking for myself, that's the best thing some honky like me can do. Listen to black folk. They don't want to hear my rationalizations, they don't want to hear about how white people are getting shot by cops too, they just want me to listen. So that's what i'm going to try and do. You can do whatever you want to do. And you'll still be welcome at my tailgate and I hope I'd be welcome at yours even though we clearly don't agree on this.
Let me address your comment regarding my "blindspot" comment...
I didn't mean his politics are wrong or he wasn't allowed to believe them or have them. I meant he was wearing a shirt that might not sit well with his players and he didn't see it that way...hence blindspot. Sorry I didn't explain it better, but I don't think it was biased
Believe it or not I understand and don’t disagree with most everything you said.
I’m speaking in more general terms and Im frustrated more so with constant inability to realize some people think differently than others. The silly “obligation” that the world is preaching to call out people in public for not going with what you believe. People are too easily “hurt” by things and told that they should be offended by everything. Yes, I’m glad there was reconciliation between them....at least a video for public consumption was made.
As far as listening to others...that’s great....as long as they make sense. The color of your skin and who you are doesn’t mean anything if your argument is garbage. Who I am doesn’t negate my ability to listen to reasonable questions and gain knowledge but it also doesn’t mean Im going to listen to absolute garbage that’s being pushed all day
Saw this tweet on Blutarsky’s blog this morning (the top one). It’s a good thought and a good way to keep issues in house while building goodwill with players.
It's also what good leaders do.
Precisely.
