Come on guys, let’s be honest, the only reason Webb is coming to Georgia is so he can continue to spy on us. He’s really doing it for Saban so he can share our playbook and game plans with him before we play them in the SECCG for the next three years.
Slightly off-topic, but wasn't sure where to post this and it doesn't merit its own thread.
I went to the Benz today to watch Blessed Trinity vs. Cartersville. The Canes were more talented but McFarlin is some kind of coach. Blessed Trinity repeated as AAAA champs with a 23-9 win. If I understand correctly, Cartersville is 55-2 over the past four years and both losses were to BT.
Anyway, just two comments on the game. (1) Bertrand was hurt and didn't play. (2) Ryan Davis for BT is a heckuva football player. He's undersized and probably doesn't have track speed, but he was the best player on the field as a WR/DB, even though you had Steele Chambers (OSU commit), Jackson Lowe (Tennessee), Isaiah Chaney (Wake Forest), and a handful of other D1 recruits for both teams, in the 2019 and 2020 classes. My understanding is he has options like UNC and Navy to play both baseball and football, but this is the sort of kid Geoff Collins should jump on for his first class at Georgia Tech. Just my $0.02.
Following up on Georgia high school football, congrats to Milton for their upset victory over Colquitt Co. to take the 7A title. I don't know Rush Probst personally, but he strikes me as a Bobby Petrino type, so I'm happy for the Milton fans.
