Hey folks - as a member of the DawgNation community, please remember to abide by simple rules of civil engagement with other members:
- Please no inappropriate usernames (remember that there may be youngsters in the room)
- Personal attacks on other community members are unacceptable, practice the good manners your mama taught you when engaging with fellow Dawg fans
- Use common sense and respect personal differences in the community: sexual and other inappropriate language or imagery, political rants and belittling the opinions of others will get your posts deleted and result in warnings and/ or banning from the forum
- 3/17/19 UPDATE -- We've updated the permissions for our "Football" and "Commit to the G" recruiting message boards. We aim to be the best free board out there and that has not changed. We do now ask that all of you good people register as a member of our forum in order to see the sugar that is falling from our skies, so to speak.

I haven’t made many comments on the Evans recruiting saga. Here’s my first post regarding that.
Things we know, and these are things that most all of the insiders have agreed on:
· Early in the football season, Evans was considered by many insiders as a heavy UGA lean.
· Regardless of what exactly happened regarding his first HS suspension, UGA was no longer pursuing Evans, but yet Dell went to visit him just after the suspension.
· Then a few days before ESD, most all insiders agreed he had signed his LOI with UGA.
· He then postponed his announcement at the UA All American game and instead did an “Apology” interview with Deion Sanders.
· Then insider media agreed he had signed with UGA, but was released of his obligation to UGA.
That was where it stood with Evans a couple of weeks ago…. Now, it’s supposedly down to aTm, LSU and Florida. Well, per some insider information we were given, aTm will not take him out of the bad “neighborhood” he SO needs to get out of. And speaking of “neighborhood,” it couldn’t be expected that Florida could keep Fred Rogers out of trouble. So, from the outside looking in, I see a two horse race between UGA and LSU. He’s visited all of these schools multiple times (maybe not Florida – I’m not sure on that one), why has he not announced publicly where he’s going to school? Just based on what we know from his recruiting journey, I wouldn’t completely count him out of being in Athens when all is said and done.
Either way, I wish the kid the best! Whatever is best for him, I hope that is the end result!
Since the Evans fiasco on signing day, I heard he was juco bound. Which could be the reason for no announcement to a team. 🤷
That would definitely make sense
No it would not. None.
I am beginning to think ZE recruitment could go past NSD. Roquan Smith's signed well last NSD. No idea where he ends up.
Nothing makes sense regarding Evans 🤣
Why hasn’t he announced? Maybe he wants to do like many other kids and make his announcement on NSD. Just a thought.
Evans doesn't sign anything in February and just shows up on campus in May.
I see people are still talking about Evans.
Say ZACH EVANS again! <insert gun emoji>
ZACH EVANS
From what I’ve read on this forum, Evans was released by UGA, but not at his request. None of this seemed like Evans’ choice, but rather staff backing off and deciding it wasn’t worth the investment.
Maybe they reconsider, maybe not. I don’t know what specific rules were handed down that he may or may not have broken, but I’m hoping all bridges have not been burned.
I would be thrilled to see Evans taking snaps at Georgia for the next three years. He gets the support system he probably needs, and our claim as RBU is etched in concrete. At the end of the day I do hope he gets his future straightened out, wherever he ends up.
THIS
Evans hasn't shown that he can follow directions. I'm not sure he can handle Kirby, who is a self admitted tyrant at practice.
