- 3/17/19 UPDATE -- We've updated the permissions for our "Football" and "Commit to the G" recruiting message boards. We aim to be the best free board out there and that has not changed. We do now ask that all of you good people register as a member of our forum in order to see the sugar that is falling from our skies, so to speak.

I heard D’Wan is out
With friends?
On the town?
Doing football drills?
Of chicken and waffles?
Like he is gone.
Just what I heard.
We are still in contact with Malik Hornsby.
This raises a question for me that I’m hopeful someone with a great medical background can answer. How can DWan ever really be cleared to play again? The guy had a portion of his brain removed. I can’t fathom how he could ever step back out there and play such an intensively, physical contact sport like this having suffered such a brain injury and the removal of a portion. I’m not asking from the perspective of whether it’s physically possible for him to walk back on the field and play the game. I’m sure that’s possible. I’m asking from a long term safety perspective for his well being. The whiplash from a tackle to the back, the pop from hitting his head on the field? How can he withstand the constant impacts he would take? In Ron Courson he has probably the best athletic trainer in college football so I trust him above all else. The man is an amazing person, but I just worry about DWan and how high that risk has to be.
He did not have a portion of his brain removed; only the cyst was removed. But I still get your point. I trust the medical staff, though. I can’t believe they’d risk having a patient under their watch get injured (or worse) from being cleared to play prematurely.
Disney just lost a $4.5M lawsuit because their cruise line doctors cleared a waitress to return to work with two broken ribs.
You mean you saw a tweet where he said "I'm out" and then deleted it?
So, it sounds like it’s just what you heard.
“Read on the TOS about someone else mentioning they saw a deleted tweet by Mathis”

Yeah I saw that too. I'm just guessing that "I heard" means "I saw on Twitter"
It probably won’t happen, but that would be awesome if Evans was Kirby’s NSD special—like Pickens last year. We should take it as a good sign the staff is still in contact with him. Because if he didn’t want to be here, or was mad at them for backing off, I’m sure he would have moved on, and we wouldn’t hear any of this chatter. We know at one point he really really wanted to be here, and the sad reality is that If we don’t land him, he will end up at a major competitor. I would rather give him a shot here and it not work out rather than watch him turn into something elite over the next 3-4 years somewhere else.
Fact of the matter is: so much more is going on that we know about behind the scenes. And most likely we won’t find out until NSD, so kick back and relax good people. This class is pretty much done with the exception of one man. But if the past is any indicator of the future, the ZE recruitment isn’t over until he ends up on someone’s campus.
There is reason to hope but not to be confident.
Monken is coming to UGA. Just announced
