Hey folks - as a member of the DawgNation community, please remember to abide by simple rules of civil engagement with other members:
- Please no inappropriate usernames (remember that there may be youngsters in the room)
- Personal attacks on other community members are unacceptable, practice the good manners your mama taught you when engaging with fellow Dawg fans
- Use common sense and respect personal differences in the community: sexual and other inappropriate language or imagery, political rants and belittling the opinions of others will get your posts deleted and result in warnings and/ or banning from the forum
- 3/17/19 UPDATE -- We've updated the permissions for our "Football" and "Commit to the G" recruiting message boards. We aim to be the best free board out there and that has not changed. We do now ask that all of you good people register as a member of our forum in order to see the sugar that is falling from our skies, so to speak.

I want all the freaks this year...call me greedy..I am
So SVP next?
Id say so, as he said he wants to do it before his senior season starts. First game is 9-5. It could even be sooner if he meant the start of football practice, as that would be 8-12.
🤔🤔
Anyone see Ringo Tweet? "Hook em"
tried to link tweet and didnt work
Exactly - the trend @MIghtydawg describes re: mean weight of NFL ILBs is accurate, but it's because 260 pound ILBs that can match the speed and lateral quickness of the 230-pounders are extremely rare.
Having a big body like Sewell that can cover backs out of the backfield, pursue sideline to sideline like a smaller/quicker player AND have the size and speed to cover TEs - and more importantly - stay in on short down situations instead of being subbed out? Not sure of any coaches that wouldn't that type of player in their scheme.
Even more so following Coach's comments today where he essentially reinforced that the staff isn't necessarily looking for the best rotations/combos but rather the best players that can stay on the field regardless of the situation (down & distance, field position, etc.). Sewell would be a huge plus if that's the staff's philosophy.
Said it before , would love to see Sewell go to 285 to play like an Aaron Donald . Their testing numbers are pretty identical. I know that’s not the plan but ya know, the plan is there is no plan ??
🤔🤨😖
He was trying to RT Bijan’s commitment. I wouldn’t read into it too much.
Speaking of Aaron Donald...saw this on a Patriots subReddit the other day and had a good chuckle....basically reminding people that Dave Andrews completely neutralized the peer-selected #1 player in the NFL in this year's Super Bowl.

hopefully he is just trolling a little
Well, this is his background image. He's just having some fun acting as an agent of chaos.
Andrews’ pic above reminds me that it is International Beer Day.
I have watched his film and watched video of him at the opening. Your take is that he is a one of a kind player and there literally no one in college or the NFL like him. I just don't buy that. Here is a list of the Top 60 NFL linebackers. https://bleacherreport.com/articles/2016694-br-nfl-1000-top-60-inside-linebackers#slide0 Show me any middle linebacker in the NFL at that weight?
Here is a list of 2014 NFL combine linebackers. https://www.sbnation.com/nfl/2014/2/22/5427038/nfl-combine-2014-weigh-in-results-for-linebackers Again, not a single middle linebacker at that weight.
Here is the list of 2019 NFL linebackers. https://walterfootball.com/draft2019ILB.php Again, not a single middle linebacker at that weight.
So again, I ask. Is he going to lose weight or move to a different position? Or is he literally one of a kind?
Devin White was 6'0" and 258 lbs coming out of high school. S&C leaned him down to 240 and he became the Devin White we know today. I've heard comparisons between him and Sewell that make sense.
He’s definitely going to play under 260 in my opinion. Devin White is the comp that everyone makes. Reggie Ragland was 245 coming out of high school and plays in the NFL at over 250.
I’ve posted this before, but it’s worth reposting.
When people talk about Nakobe Dean, the first thing they mention is his football intelligence. The second attribute they usually mention is his quickness. Here are Dean and Sewell’s measurements from their respective Openings. The short shuttle is the main one to look at though they are all important.
Dean
40: 4.75
Vertical: 40
Shuttle: 4.01
Sewell:
40: 4.75
Vertical: 35.7
Shuttle: 4.13
Justin Flowe
40: 4.68
Vertical: 34
Shuttle: 4.38
