Hey folks - as a member of the DawgNation community, please remember to abide by simple rules of civil engagement with other members:
- Please no inappropriate usernames (remember that there may be youngsters in the room)
- Personal attacks on other community members are unacceptable, practice the good manners your mama taught you when engaging with fellow Dawg fans
- Use common sense and respect personal differences in the community: sexual and other inappropriate language or imagery, political rants and belittling the opinions of others will get your posts deleted and result in warnings and/ or banning from the forum
- 3/17/19 UPDATE -- We've updated the permissions for our "Football" and "Commit to the G" recruiting message boards. We aim to be the best free board out there and that has not changed. We do now ask that all of you good people register as a member of our forum in order to see the sugar that is falling from our skies, so to speak.

Said it before , would love to see Sewell go to 285 to play like an Aaron Donald . Their testing numbers are pretty identical. I know that’s not the plan but ya know, the plan is there is no plan ??
🤔🤨😖
He was trying to RT Bijan’s commitment. I wouldn’t read into it too much.
Speaking of Aaron Donald...saw this on a Patriots subReddit the other day and had a good chuckle....basically reminding people that Dave Andrews completely neutralized the peer-selected #1 player in the NFL in this year's Super Bowl.

hopefully he is just trolling a little
Well, this is his background image. He's just having some fun acting as an agent of chaos.
Andrews’ pic above reminds me that it is International Beer Day.
I have watched his film and watched video of him at the opening. Your take is that he is a one of a kind player and there literally no one in college or the NFL like him. I just don't buy that. Here is a list of the Top 60 NFL linebackers. https://bleacherreport.com/articles/2016694-br-nfl-1000-top-60-inside-linebackers#slide0 Show me any middle linebacker in the NFL at that weight?
Here is a list of 2014 NFL combine linebackers. https://www.sbnation.com/nfl/2014/2/22/5427038/nfl-combine-2014-weigh-in-results-for-linebackers Again, not a single middle linebacker at that weight.
Here is the list of 2019 NFL linebackers. https://walterfootball.com/draft2019ILB.php Again, not a single middle linebacker at that weight.
So again, I ask. Is he going to lose weight or move to a different position? Or is he literally one of a kind?
Devin White was 6'0" and 258 lbs coming out of high school. S&C leaned him down to 240 and he became the Devin White we know today. I've heard comparisons between him and Sewell that make sense.
He’s definitely going to play under 260 in my opinion. Devin White is the comp that everyone makes. Reggie Ragland was 245 coming out of high school and plays in the NFL at over 250.
I’ve posted this before, but it’s worth reposting.
When people talk about Nakobe Dean, the first thing they mention is his football intelligence. The second attribute they usually mention is his quickness. Here are Dean and Sewell’s measurements from their respective Openings. The short shuttle is the main one to look at though they are all important.
Dean
40: 4.75
Vertical: 40
Shuttle: 4.01
Sewell:
40: 4.75
Vertical: 35.7
Shuttle: 4.13
Justin Flowe
40: 4.68
Vertical: 34
Shuttle: 4.38
@JeffSentell any chance of some practice pics?
Only thing Jeff is practicing is his short game over at Brasstown Valley Resort and Spa sponsored by Marcos Pizza
Yes. He will play at ILB at 255 and he’s one of a kind for UGA.
Devon White was about this weight coming to LSU. I believe he will lose a few pounds and play around 250
IDK that much about the precise measurement/position ratios but the fact that Sewell went from being a relative unknown to literally a player that EVERY bigtime program in the country wants says a lot.
You can dismiss the countless recruiting guys and talent scouts that were impressed after seeing him at the Opening because those guys can fall in love with measurables and specimens...but the fact that guys who coach for a living want him is all I need to know.
Look at the guy's offer list and finalist list..might see a couple of names ya recognize in there who MIGHT know a bit about player eval and coaching defense. JS.
Dawgs land Sewell there's gonna be a lot of sad teams.
Anybody on here go to that today/tonight? I expect a full report in the morning on the Sentell Nugs!
Off topic but, we pulled up to the clubhouse there a few years ago and one of our crew unloaded and started puking in the flower bed. The bag boys started radioing the proshop immediately. Thought a bunch of drunks had just pulled up. They weren't far off, but the guy just had motion sickness from riding about 5 hours in the back of a 12 passenger van. After explaining, we still got to play. Enjoyed it. Pretty place
Hearing we land another commitment by the end of the weekend.
I heard 72 hours about 71 hours ago....
