He does have potential, but he’s also regressed every year since coming into the league and has had an injury riddled season He’s also always outperformed his peripherals. I would consider his ceiling to be a good #2 on a playoff team. The Braves already have plenty of high upside, controllable starters who look like 2-3 starters. We need an ACE.

Who is this ''he'' you're referring to ?
It's helpful to list names when we're in a fluid discussion.

If you see my previous comment and all debate with Dawg4Life up to that point, you would know who we were talking about. Troll someone else.

It's not a troll, it's advice. I'm not going to review threads to see what a poster is referring to. Just advance enough info for people to know what the hell you're referring to, how hard could it be ? It's like posters who abbreviate names, how lazy can you be ?

But the bigger issue is why wouldn't one want to help people follow what they are saying? Just sayin'

You’ve been a member since January and have over 3k posts. It seems to me that you have plenty of time to review every thread.

I truely believe the Braves are a few pieces away from a dynasty. But, it all starts with this upcoming years free agency and how much we are willing to spend. I firmly believe when need to do everything in our power to sign Macahdo and Kimbrel. Once we have them two, we can trade Dansby, Gohara, and another prospect maybe Bryce Wilson for JT Realmuto. Then we go out and trade kolby allard, Kevin gasuman, and Austin Riley( only if Comagro keeps playing like he is now) for a top of the line Ace, such as Bumgarner, DeGrom, Synegard, Michael Fulmer, or anyone else who is a legit Ace. With a pitching staff of
    Bumgarner
    Folty
    Newcomb
    Soroka
    Touki or Wright
    Plus a lineup of
    Acuna
    Ozzie
    Freeman
    Machado
    Realmuto
    Comagro
    Markakis
    Pitcher
    Ender

We would be unstoppable, for many, many years to come. We have the pieces to make these moves, however it's all going to come down to free agency

Trading for Realmuto would be tough to stomach. We could project him as like a 4 WAR/year player and he is under arbitration for the next 3 years, so he will likely earn around 28 Million in a rough estimate. At 8.5M/WAR thats a 74M surplus value, so Dansby Gohara and Wilson wouldn't be enough. TBH I don't even know what kind of value Dansby would have right now, but he isn't going to be able to headline a big trade by himself. It might realistically take Christian Pache+Gohara+Kyle Wright/Soroka to get him (using the link below to estimate prospect surplus value). And Kolby+Riley wouldn't get a top of the rotation arm unfortunately, unless it's for maybe 1 season of them.

But this is Ok, the thing about prospects is that farm systems are built to also work as trade capital and most good prospects don't end up being that good. Nobody gives out trophies for best farm system, so if they decide to go for it in their window we could see a lot of the guys we like in the minors traded. And I would love to see us sign Machado, and he would be worth every penny and really elevate this team, I every team in the game with some money to spend is going to go after him.

If they trade Soroka, I’ll start pulling for the Mets and and Phillies.

If I’m not mistaking a lot of money will be on the table for the Braves this coming year. A few contracts will finally come off the books. Also I believe one of the reasons Acuna wasn’t brought up earlier was so they could sign him to a longer deal. I believe he has a 5 year deal. Correct me if I’m wrong. So i think we bring one ace in and secure younger arms to major league deals. Also I feel like we got to move Tehran some how

Not disagreeing. Just stinks he wasted his prime years playing on a terrible team.
