Hey folks - as a member of the DawgNation community, please remember to abide by simple rules of civil engagement with other members:
- Please no inappropriate usernames (remember that there may be youngsters in the room)
- Personal attacks on other community members are unacceptable, practice the good manners your mama taught you when engaging with fellow Dawg fans
- Use common sense and respect personal differences in the community: sexual and other inappropriate language or imagery, political rants and belittling the opinions of others will get your posts deleted and result in warnings and/ or banning from the forum
- 3/17/19 UPDATE -- We've updated the permissions for our "Football" and "Commit to the G" recruiting message boards. We aim to be the best free board out there and that has not changed. We do now ask that all of you good people register as a member of our forum in order to see the sugar that is falling from our skies, so to speak.

@icecolddawg - Ohio state is my pick. I think the palm trees are in reference to being “on an island”, elite corner talk. Cavazos Island if you will.
He's a corner, that's his island
More info on Burton. We aren’t expecting him to choose us at this time. Staff cooled pursuit on Burton and it’s speculated, not confirmed, that we cooled because he’s been in “multiple programs in as many years.” The talent here is undeniable, one of the best, if not the best WR in this class. Sounds like “Portal” syndrome and it’s causing pause.
Sad panda
Any news on Flowe coming to Gday?
Also have we heard anything new on Lloyd? Seems to be cooling off the last couple weeks or so. Tia
So, UGA won't be landing.
Seems like we are not getting many of these early commits. Do expectations need to start relaxing a bit, top 10 instead of top3?
It'll be top 3 for sure. Too many targets are left and UGA is looking good with more than a few.
@SoFL_Dawg so who will be our wide receivers in this class besides robinson
@ThisDawg Still confident on top 3 class. Names we’ve come to know and expect in the class, we’ll likely miss on. It sounds cliche but it’s true, recruiting news from a month ago is very old news right now, essentially the board is being reset based on initial misses and prospects emerging/falling. The only way to combat this frankly is to post less, so we’re not experiencing the ebbs and flows. Here’s a quick list of big names to watch.
At this time I think we keep all our current commits and have a good chance to add the following players: Lloyd, Milton, Gilbert, Washington, Sherman, Ratledge, Morris, Mcglothern, Whitehead, Cowan, Williams, McGowan* (ask me on this May 1, assumes Milton doesn’t come this month). This list does not mean they’re silent commits.
Big name players that we’re in relatively deep for (possibly leading with work to do): Flowe, Ringo, Johnson, Dexter, Huntley, Taylor, Rodgers.
Big name players we’re likely to miss (which is causing the angst): Bresee* (see if he goes into sept uncommitted), Murphy, Jarrett, Fleming, Burton, Evans, Cavazos, Davis.
While it appears negative today, it’s important to keep this healthy perspective; there’s more positivity above than negativity. I can’t see a circumstance where we land less than 5 five stars in this class (a month ago, 7-11 seemed likely). Under no circumstance will that be a failure even if it isn’t the household names we’ve been watching for a year. For the record I still believe we’ll land 7-8, and class avg. will be ~94 with 23 signees.
Don’t know. We’re recruiting Jarrett and Rosemy the hardest I’m told, likely to miss on both. Jarrett will choose UT, but I’m not confident that commitment sticks. I cant post on why just something to watch. That said, OSU will be a major factor in Jarrett.
So Jarrett did alert staff he wanted a spot reserved and was said to be a silent (this is what prompted my fave gif). When Beck committed, he was immediately given a priority target list, Jarrett was a priority. The two have been in constant contact. Recruiting is relentless, UT brought out the big guns early and will secure his commitment. They outrecruited us here, and won him over on his potential usage. I do not think they’ll be able to hold on especially after the season begins to unfold. Simply put Beck > Harrison Bailey and Chaney will not show enough imo to hang on to this prized recruit.
I also think it should be said that this Saturday will be a bad day. I live in Clempson country and Clempsons springing game is this Saturday. They are going to have an extremely impressive recruiting day Saturday with people that we want and others. Nobody will be more upset about it than me but we have to try to stay positive if for nothing else than to not let them have any satisfaction from us freaking out
Any news on the Cincy trio @SoFL_Dawg
I feel like this year’s recruiting is kind of a slow burn. And winning cures all. I have no info but I have this gut feeling that if we take care of business, have an undefeated season and win the SEC convincingly we’re going to see a lot of flips on or up to signing day.
Nothing of substance yet.
