Hey folks - as a member of the DawgNation community, please remember to abide by simple rules of civil engagement with other members:
- Please no inappropriate usernames (remember that there may be youngsters in the room)
- Personal attacks on other community members are unacceptable, practice the good manners your mama taught you when engaging with fellow Dawg fans
- Use common sense and respect personal differences in the community: sexual and other inappropriate language or imagery, political rants and belittling the opinions of others will get your posts deleted and result in warnings and/ or banning from the forum
- 3/17/19 UPDATE -- We've updated the permissions for our "Football" and "Commit to the G" recruiting message boards. We aim to be the best free board out there and that has not changed. We do now ask that all of you good people register as a member of our forum in order to see the sugar that is falling from our skies, so to speak.

Well, you get the 'Most Honest Post Award' for the day if nothing else. lol
When Chip, or me or most any other journalist or reporter takes on an assignment like the one he's on, to travel to Notre Dame and report on the Irish, we do so knowing there will be several storylines that come out of it. The idea is to bring readers all the pertinent information about an opponent, or the importance of a series. Obviously the recruiting implications when you play a traditional national brand like Notre Dame is part of the story. I'm sure we will hear about the Irish's offense, defense and how they look to match up with UGA this season. Probably also some about the last meeting. But you don't just write one story -- you write a series of stories. It's not always rainbows and unicorns, and what we've found is that most Georgia fans like to know what's going on and what may be trending where their team is concerned. The other day I was at Clemson, and Dabo said something about playing Georgia every year. I wondered how UGA fans would feel about that, so I did a poll, and then did a story on the poll results with some comments from fans -- for or against dropping Georgia Tech for Clemson. It was just a story to share perspective and feelings -- no more, no less. Reporting. Minutes ago I finished a feature on D'Wan Mathis, based on what Jake said. Reporting. Chip is reporting.
You can't make everyone happy, and quite frankly someone will be pretty much unhappy with any view.
That's true, so attacking the reporter seems so cliche and outdated. Someone posts on social media, and it's usually a knee-jerk reaction. Sometimes someone will write something on Twitter about another person and it's completely false or out of context, and others respond and continue the attack before they have researched it to learn what they are even talking about ..... it's dangerous.
It's funny how two people can read the same thing and take away something completely different. It's kind of like politics today. Two people see the same set of facts and draw wildly different conclusions.
My only takeaway from the article was that Chip's gonna be in South Bend for a week and basically scout the Irish for us. Sounds awesome to me. I look forward to those reports.
Ive never attacked you for doing your job, such as reporting arrests. I simply point out the substandard work. A poll on twitter is a lazy and terribly inaccurate way to take a sampling. Your participation is going to be slanted towards young non- season ticket holders/non-donors. .
if you want to keep it up with the tough guy talk about anonymity then I’ll continue pointing out your bad works when appropriate. Don’t feed the trolls
This is the nature of the job you have chosen- writing for a message board. Anonymity isnt going to change. Crying about it only draws more attention to yourself.
Well...
I come in here because I appreciate ANYONE in April talking Georgia Football. I could care less what they are talking about. If my man makes a living watching, reporting, and writing about Georgia Football all year, I consider him fortunate.
Not a lot of original content in April, guys. So much is going to change before the end of August, anyway. Most of the points being argued are moot due to a lot of factors. I appreciate the efforts to come up with different stuff.
I could argue that EVERY point being argued on here is irrelevant. ITS APRIL. Doesn't make it less fun - its GA football.
Anyway, thanks to everyone for adding to the discussion. Gives the rest of us something to read...
It's also used by our president to yell at us
You opening this up to politics? Sometimes when I’m worried I might be wrong it feels like someone is yelling, when they are really just clarifying the lie someone else told.
I hope you’re not referring to Trump. Dude has been fact checked multiple times, and he lies all the time.
"Fact checked." LOL.
Let's not sway this off topic more than it has been. My finger is getting the twitch....
If you're sitting with Kasey in the mod cave, just lean over and tell him that.
Over a real counter if you’re going to do that. He lies all the time. Prove me wrong.
