Their fans are dying to be back. Last year I was on St George Island for Labor Day weekend, which was the Gator opener. You should have heard all of the jorts/tank top wearers yelling “We’re back , baby” when they scored a TD with the jump pass they remember from Tebow. They were all hugging and squealing, and it was clear they were celebrating the way they scored more than just the TD. It was rather amusing to see them joyously grasping at straws.

I kinda admire a good team made up of three star players, very well coached, etc. Unless that team is Florida; then they s u c k and I h a t e them.

Florida is way behind the curve we're riding, but that doesn't negate the usual caveat: On any given Saturday...

No matter how much better our players might look on paper or how much worse, losing is always an option for either team unless they do everything right and have a modicum of luck.

We haven't won anything yet! Just like Florida fans we sound like fools when we act like we have (not that that stops any of us, including me, from enjoying being the Offseason National Champs).

    Go, Dawgs!

Doesn't matter what Cousin Eddie or anyone else says. Sad they feel like they have to play mind games to beat us. The days of Florida getting in our heads are OVER. When our players line up against theirs--our execution, talent and depth will win the day. Remember--being chippy and overconfident doesn't win games. And wishing so hard to win that you look like a fool won't get it either.

They are probably getting better. But them getting better, does not mean they are catching up. We are getting better too, but at a faster pace than Florida. I think the gap is growing.

Mullin did quite a bit with far less at MSU. I'm not ready to get cocky just yet, UF dominated us for over a generation with multiple HCs. I'll wait till we have more recent history on our side before getting superior.

I'm not ready to give Mullen the credit that a lot of people want to give. He had one SEC winning record and that was because he had an NFL QB. Maybe he 'formed' Dak into an NFL QB or maybe Dak would have been anyway. He had (4) 4-4 records and (4) losing records. He had Miss St at #1 the year of his winning record, only to lose 2 of the last 3, not including the loss to GT in the Orange Bowl.

If Franks becomes an NFL QB, I will take back what I've said. If not, my jury is still out on Mullens.

I just took a stroll to Alligator Alley. Holy **** Batman!!! They honestly believe that Franks will be drafted high next year. They think the QB class in next years draft is average and Franks is the best in the class.

SOMETIMES IT IS REALLY Hard to figure out just which fan base is MORE delusional, is it Florida?, or maybe it’s Tennessee? Sometimes you can throw in Auburn too. Right now I say that Florida just edges out Tennessee. But it’s awfully close.

They are improving over the McElwain years but that isn't saying much.

One thing I am sure of is this, Florida will be a power again someday. Might be 2 years. Might be 10. But it will happen.

This is why the dogs need to take advantage now. The East will never be this easy to win again.

If Florida's entire team transferred to UGA tomorrow... How many of Florida's players would be good enough to take a starting spot?

Possibly Van Jefferson at WR and that’s it. Most likely wouldn’t be up to the blocking Standard we require so he still wouldn’t start.

I don’t know about that. They were crap for generations until Spurier came along. Then they had Meyer, another all-time great. Aside from those two guys fla has not been good. I’m not sure Mullen is on par with Spurrier or Meyer.
