Hey folks - as a member of the DawgNation community, please remember to abide by simple rules of civil engagement with other members:
- Please no inappropriate usernames (remember that there may be youngsters in the room)
- Personal attacks on other community members are unacceptable, practice the good manners your mama taught you when engaging with fellow Dawg fans
- Use common sense and respect personal differences in the community: sexual and other inappropriate language or imagery, political rants and belittling the opinions of others will get your posts deleted and result in warnings and/ or banning from the forum
- 3/17/19 UPDATE -- We've updated the permissions for our "Football" and "Commit to the G" recruiting message boards. We aim to be the best free board out there and that has not changed. We do now ask that all of you good people register as a member of our forum in order to see the sugar that is falling from our skies, so to speak.

I think technically he can’t because he would lose his amateur status and wouldn’t be eligible for the olympics. Too bad because it would be easy money
How does that not affect his amateur status?
You cant profit off of your talents while someone else pays for schooling to be an amateur. Sad archaic rules.
Although @Muffingod I wouldn't say easy when one is a high schooler and the other is a professional athlete who is paid to run
I don’t think it’d be easy, nothing ever is when competing against professionals, but I’d love to see it happen. It’d be fun to watch and it would bring more attention to Boling and UGA T&F
So if two players bet each other $5 on who is the fastest then the winner loses his amatuer status because he profitted?
I would think the source of the money should be the important issue.
The publicity from just this one tweet is bringing a tremendous amount of free publicity to UGA. Every major sports news outlet is carrying it. It has even been picked by a UK publication.
Maybe they could do it like Michael Phelps and his shark- side by side video?
The Olympics is full of professional athletes.
If it might effect his NCAA status then just make it a charity event and donate the $10,000.
Endorsements. Nike Air “White Lightening”
And to think, he stumbled a bit on the 100 record breaking event. If they clean up his take-off, he might have gotten closer to a 9.85-9.90 sec
Most insane comeback I've ever seen in T&F.
That 4x400m video is something special. Never seen anything like it in my life. That is an epic sporting achievement. That should be on ESPN Top 10.
Age enhanced photo of Boling.
check out Wilma Rudolph's come from behind against the Soviets at Stanford back in the day. Made up some huge ground in only 100m. that was in the 4x100 relay.
