Hey folks - as a member of the DawgNation community, please remember to abide by simple rules of civil engagement with other members:
- Please no inappropriate usernames (remember that there may be youngsters in the room)
- Personal attacks on other community members are unacceptable, practice the good manners your mama taught you when engaging with fellow Dawg fans
- Use common sense and respect personal differences in the community: sexual and other inappropriate language or imagery, political rants and belittling the opinions of others will get your posts deleted and result in warnings and/ or banning from the forum
- 3/17/19 UPDATE -- We've updated the permissions for our "Football" and "Commit to the G" recruiting message boards. We aim to be the best free board out there and that has not changed. We do now ask that all of you good people register as a member of our forum in order to see the sugar that is falling from our skies, so to speak.

@texdawg
Not just speaking to you but several comments this week. Confidence originates from inside the program; inside-out vs. outside-in. I’m speaking specifically to UGA as I don’t follow others unless we’re battling on trail.
Not even a week ago I was told “stop panicking and put the lotion in the basket” in reference to Lloyd. “Staff is confident in the top of the board and remember what i told you on Pickens last year, same thing brewing”. There’s more but all I can type now.
So im confident, albeit cautiously optimistic assessing that this situation is not a lock.
This board in particular is also very quick to keep it real, “temper expectations or simply move on”. While some try to keep those narratives alive when most know we’re not getting a said croot, I think we maintain a healthy balance here. It’s rare we’re blindsided with news.
We’re not overconfident, we’re confident. There’s no such thing as being too greedy, when all the dominoes have yet to fall. If we do miss here, considering what transpired (we’ll share at cycle end), I expect a full nuclear meltdown on the board.
Until then, we’re confident and cautiously optimistic.
might not be the right thread for this, but here goes anyway.
are we sure that RBs 'matter' enough to warrant the amount of scrutiny we're putting on getting the 5 star backs? obviously we want the very best talent in athens, but given how effective numerous backs have proven to be in the NFL running behind dominant O lines with a solid offensive schemes, does it really matter too much if we have a bunch of 4 star backs compared to the 5s?
given the choice, i think i would always rather we pull the very best dominant linemen over the 5 star backs. for that reason, given our beastly O line (for many years to come) i'd think we're in a great spot in terms of the run game regardless of who is carrying the ball for us
Agree. I think we have every right to be confident with all the recent successes we have had.
Obviously the o-line helps - but we need top talent at every position.
There are a number of backs that would be successful for us. Not just because of our o-line - but because of our QB and other skilled positions.
However, there is a small margin that will separate the best teams and their ability to win a national championship. Any separation, regardless of how small, is important.
Getting the best RB possible is important.
To what school did the CB for Arik Gilbert just go to?
Great running backs further mitigate the need to always have dominate performances from our OL. We have seen on multiple occasions our OL have a bad day, and our running game suffer with elite backs; I could only imagine still having Douglas or someone toting the rock those games. Maybe it’s anecdotal but I do think having an elite back makes a difference from having a good back.
Evans/Lloyd > Bigsby/Pryor is a scenario that fits here.
Allow me to be petty for a second please.
You guys remember the name Warren Brinson? He committed to us, decommitted thinking he was going to Bama, and now hes likely headed to uf, smh. I said when he committed I doubted he’d be a take but still...UGA would have to tell me no these days, I wouldn’t just decommit if I had the opportunity. This scenario reminds me of a current commit that’s also on track to make a big mistake. YOLO I guess...
UGA
Just for reference
Beat me to it, was thinking the same thing.
It’s Mekhail Sherman right?
Does it rhyme with Bazir Trackmouse?
Broderick Jones @Kasey , keep up. *wags finger*
Everyone knows who @SoFL_Dawg is talking about. Stop being funny.
Plus it's inappropriate to be spewing Parson Heck's name all over this Forum.
Please respect his decision.
