National Eat Your Beans Day

I confess. I LOVE beans. There are likely over 40,000 types of beans on earth, although only a small fraction of those are commonly eaten.
What are your favorite beans? How do you like them prepared. I love a good Navy Bean Soup and BBQ Beans. I also love Garbbanzo beans (chick peas). How about you? They can be prepared so as to minimize gas production.

Pinto's, tater salad, and cornbread. Also love 15 bean soup with smoked sausage cooked in it.
The musical fruit.
Upvote on beans, Don! My faves are black beans, lentils, and crowder peas. Recipe for any of these: bake a potato and cook your beans, spiced to your liking. You can go hot, garlic, sausage bits, onions, etc., your choice. Put a little EVOO on the hot potato, along with salt and pepper, and after slicing and forking the cooked potato. Now load the beans on the potato and sprinkle some grated cheese.
In a symmetrical universe tomorrow would be National Phart Day. Take a bowl of pintos that has simmered for hours, crumble cornbread in it and add pepper sauce, eat with a tall glass of sweet iced tea. If that ain't southern I'll kiss your arse. It's also delicious.
Pintos, black, navy, crowder are my favorites. Not a big fan of lima or butter beans!
Add crowder peas and spicy bbq sauce to baked beans and you're in for a treat!
Palm, I love the taste of giant butter beans, but they give me gas for a week.
Day after should be "open the windows and air out the house day"
