That was the greatest tennis match of all time..
There won't be much debate either.

That was the one for all ages The 2 best players ever on the biggest stage and just superb drama.
If not the best, certainly up there.
When you consider It's the 2 greatest all court players in history by a wide margin, the fact It's The Wimbledon final and Djokovic was playing for a solid argument for best ever while Federer was playing to cement his claim to best ever, it has to be #1.
Except one of the players is nowhere near his prime. Great match, but give me Federer vs Nadal 2008.
Two GOAT matches between the 3 GOATS for sure.
I didnt get a chance to see this one, but my favorite match I've ever seen was Federer and Roddick Wimbledon, 2008 I think. Went 5 sets, no tie breaker at the time. Federer either tied or passed Sampras for most grand slams that day, I can't remember which. Hard to believe that Federer is still competing at the highest level more than a decade later.
Nadal would like a word
Umooner. Djokovic has a winning record against every top player of this era including Federer. He has a total of 16 grand slam titles, he has won 4 of the last the last 5 GS titles and he's much younger than Federer, he may well pass him in titles before he's finished.
Nadal is a clay court specialist. I can't rate him over these guys overall. I put him a notch below.
Oh I agree.
Rod Laver is the most dominant player I've ever seen. He only won 11 Majors with all 4 in 1962 and again in 1969. 1963 -68 he didn't play in 21 majors as he turned professional after 62 and the open era didn't start until the French in 68 (he won Wimbledon that year). Without the time missed I suspect he would have around 16 or more and may even have won 30. All were and would have been 1960-69 a 10 year span
Nadal vs Federer 2008 was slightly better than today’s match. There were more amazing winners and every set was tight until the end.
LOR. No doubt Roger is past his prime, but he is in superb condition now. I think he understood the full significance of today's match. Also while Federer won the Majority of their matches through 2008, Joker did beat Roger in an Austrilian final when he was just 20 and Federer was at his peak at 27. From when Djokovic was 24 years old and RF was 30 he has a 21-9 record against Roger.
McEnroe vs Borg in that epic final - IMO the best ever.
YOU CANNOT BE SERIOUS
