Hey folks - as a member of the DawgNation community, please remember to abide by simple rules of civil engagement with other members:
- Please no inappropriate usernames (remember that there may be youngsters in the room)
- Personal attacks on other community members are unacceptable, practice the good manners your mama taught you when engaging with fellow Dawg fans
- Use common sense and respect personal differences in the community: sexual and other inappropriate language or imagery, political rants and belittling the opinions of others will get your posts deleted and result in warnings and/ or banning from the forum
- 3/17/19 UPDATE -- We've updated the permissions for our "Football" and "Commit to the G" recruiting message boards. We aim to be the best free board out there and that has not changed. We do now ask that all of you good people register as a member of our forum in order to see the sugar that is falling from our skies, so to speak.

Lol, nah his opening camp performance did the triggering. Great player it’s understandable. He’s not Sherman or Sewell though. When a commit is older than 30 days we forget who committed and who were targeting.
Even missing on a guy like BJ (if we can call it a miss) this will be the best class in UGA history.
Give BJ a PWO and Hope scholarship. Give him a scholly in 2021 then. 😉
If it were this year for instance, He would arrive on campus probably over the July event weekend and enroll and go on scholarship August 1st (if that's when fall practice starts). He will be eligible to play 2019 but would count as a 2020 recruit. For a kicker the loss of 8 weeks "practice" is not as much a problem as a positional player who needs S&C more. With Harris he likely has to take summer classes to be eligible (was it Gibbs that didn't arrive until August 2017?) and may well not be qualified until August.
Bottom line Zirkel would be on the same benefits as the other recruits just not until August v June. No OOS tuition unless he wants to enroll earlier and pay his own way. Given his other offers were AF and Army doesn't seem a great hardship.
That's 2 stud schools depending on what his motivations are.
Don't you have to commit to 2 years of service if you attend a military academy? If the options are wait 2 months to attend UGA for football or commit to 2 years in the military I know which option I would take.
Yes, but it doesnt take away from the fact that those are two premier schools that will help to carry him regardless of his football career.
Wait I’m confused. Doesn’t a blue shirt mean that he couldn’t play competitively in the 20 season?
If it does then it's new for 2020. As I understand Cager and Wolf are Blue Shirts for 2019 (2020).
Any updates on Ringo?? Asking for a friend

The practical application of the blueshirt is to recruit a player without doing any of the things that put him on the books with the NCAA as a recruit. He can come in on an unofficial visit (he or his family pays for travel, lodging and food) but not an official visit (the school pays). The coaching staff can’t make an in-home visit. But the player can enroll with his class and be placed on scholarship on his first day of practice.
Why would a player accept this rather than a regular scholarship? Because he probably doesn’t have any offers at the level of program that is offering him a blueshirt. If he’s got Group of Five offers and a Power 5 school offers a blueshirt, he’s probably going to take it. To him, the process won’t be much different—especially if he lives near the school and can get there easily for unofficial visits—than it will be for his classmates with more conventional offers.

If I understood @JeffSentell correctly Ringo is announcing at one of the All American games
I like it.
I can’t believe we let Bama take two 340 lb DL in the same class?! C’Mon Kirby!! Overhauling the DL should be the top priority here. We are currently 3 classes behind in DL recruiting. So we can’t expect results until 2022-23 at the earliest now.
