THIS! 1000% - For the longest time, I just casually browsed the Forum, then found myself stopping on SoFL’s posts and thinking, “Oh, here’s some insightful and intelligent takes,” before I even knew he was dropping recruiting knowledge that he voluntarily shares.
When they started requiring accounts / login to get the good boards, guess who’s posts I was looking forward to reading...
...the Forum, overall, is a better, more interesting place when @SoFL_Dawg is contributing.

But can't blame his frustration. This forum seems to have taken a very negative turn - especially in regards to recruiting.
Georgia is recruiting at a level never before experienced by this proud program.
Yet, many on here can't seem to handle all the prosperity. There seems to be more concern that another school is also recruiting at a high level instead of just enjoying all the great players that Georgia is signing.
There is way too much emphasis on what players are sliding or moving up on 247 without any real perspective of what it means - which is - it doesn't mean much at all.
Georgia is recruiting elite players - regardless where they rank on 247.
But quite frankly, many on here are showing what little they actually know about football and recruiting with their unrealistic expectations and seemingly obsession with the rating services.
If you're a real Georgia fan, then it is hard to imagine how you can't be sitting back with a cold beer and enjoying everything that CKS and his staff are doing.
Maybe if we stop whining so much and start taking things in stride - then the ones with some quality inside information might decide to participate again.
Bingo - some folks cant handle to know how the sausage is made, and are better off just eating the meal at the end

Ironic, because this has the chance to be the best Georgia class ever. It might not quite reach the score of 2018, but it’ll be a better, more complete class filled with freaks at every position group. But hey, we didn’t get Bresee or Murphy or Flowe! How dare we allow Clemson to get good players.

With that said, can we talk about how HUGE this weekend will be?
Since we know that Milton is committing Monday and to the Good Guys (Thank you SoFL_Dawg@SoFL_Dawg), Over/Under 2 Commits within a week from that weekend?
I say over. I believe it will be Milton and Arian Smith. Although, I had believed Ringo was going to announce (especially since he is visiting), but with the recent news by @JeffSentell , it appears he isn't announcing until January.
With that said, I advise everyone to go check out the list that @CZCashvilleDawg has slowly acquired with the help of Jeff and others that are confirmed to visit this weekend, which includes 2021 start Korey Foreman. But there is still a "Yowza Guest" yet to be named (I think Zach Evans). IF it is Evans, I believe what SoFL has been saying about the RB room being filled by end of August will continue to be true. Evans would confirm whether he is in or not, and if he is not, Milton will get Tank to commit and we will be solid. I have no inside info. That is just what I am predicting to happen.
I am so geeked up. Thank you to all those that make this forum GREAT (Jeff, CZ and SoFL and many others). To the trolls or whiners with blinders on... go to a UF Board or something...
Our friend @texdawg continues to bring good stuff to the board all the time. Grateful for him and all of you good people as we continue to try to build this thing. I'd sure like to buy him a "beverage option" one day.
I thought the recent post about the 1980s brought it all in the proper perspective. In short, folks were wondering why #34 and company were not up by 25 points at the half all the time.
Those teams went 43-4-1 across four seasons and some folks weren't happy. Fast forward just five years later and they were praying for just one more of those seasons like 1980, 1981, 1982 or 1983.
Some still are.
Some people just want to complain. See the world burn. If folks weren't happy with the early 1980s, then they will never be satisfied.
I wonder about the folks who harp a lot of all the little things. Do they grind their kids to a pulp when they come home with 91s and 93s instead of 98s and 99s?
The same crowds that say "38 more days until" are likely going to be the same ones leaving the game early in the 3Q to beat the traffic. That's even when Athens only has seven Saturdays like that every year.
Can't have it all both ways. Tell my kids that all the time now and sound old doing it.

For those concerned, I’m not leaving the board just taking a vacation. Appreciate the love although I maintain I don’t do anything special. No apologies needed. FTR, all those kudos should go to @JeffSentell. I’ll reiterate, he sets the record straight on so much of the info I come across. Without him here, this board wouldn’t be what it is. Look at the amount of info he dropped in the last two days alone. Not sure if any other site has done that. Personal thanks to you Jeff and other staples of this community that keep this forum running. You guys know who you are.
For me, this started to feel like work and became less fun. It’s just supposed to be fun. However, when you’re vested in your team, it does become difficult to allow straight bs to stand without a response. That’s where I got mentally over the last few weeks (I was responding). This forum reads and feels different than others I’ve browsed. This is a place for Dawg fans to congregate, discuss being Dawgs, recruiting, and beyond. Recently, we’ve gotten away from that but this is my social media home, so I’ll be back for sure. Once games start, hopefully positivity will return as recruiting has failed at keeping us positive which is straight up baffling. Why so serious?
Regarding recruiting, there are things I can’t share but this weekend will be EPIC. The culmination of talent on one weekend is ridiculous. Better than that, most want to and will be Dawgs. Everything will be clearer after this weekend. I’d watch RB, WR, TE, DL, OL, & DB. Yeah that’s major. So please, enjoy this ride, it won’t be this way forever. See y’all in few weeks!
