Hey folks - as a member of the DawgNation community, please remember to abide by simple rules of civil engagement with other members:
- Please no inappropriate usernames (remember that there may be youngsters in the room)
- Personal attacks on other community members are unacceptable, practice the good manners your mama taught you when engaging with fellow Dawg fans
- Use common sense and respect personal differences in the community: sexual and other inappropriate language or imagery, political rants and belittling the opinions of others will get your posts deleted and result in warnings and/ or banning from the forum
- 3/17/19 UPDATE -- We've updated the permissions for our "Football" and "Commit to the G" recruiting message boards. We aim to be the best free board out there and that has not changed. We do now ask that all of you good people register as a member of our forum in order to see the sugar that is falling from our skies, so to speak.

Good points.
Playing devil's advocate, how do you protect parity (I know it's not there, but pretend) if we allow an increase in initial counters for transfer portal losses? Imagine a team pulling in the best players, spending a year or so deciding on the ones they like, and sending the rest to the TP to gain more initial counters for that year. The talent pool shrinks for teams outside the top 10 or so.
We're in a great position at the moment and, despite college football being cyclical, I never see UGA being on the loser side of this. But I am curious what limitations you set in place to at least pretend you're aiming for fairness across the board.
Who's next?
It’s been said repeatedly SVP before season.
SVP... still. 😂
SVP, RIngo, Ricks, Sewell, Washington, Evans, Gilbert, Burch, Z Walker and, Dexter all do a joint UGA commitment tonight. I have sources.
Honestly do these kids have to ask Kirby to commit if their commitment is accepted. I’ve been hearing SVP for awhile, is Kirby wanting him to wait?
Sorry guys, just trying to get the thread back on track...
Just got confirmation that Noah Sewell will be in town for the Notre Dame game. 😎
It's more a question of who WONT be in town for the Notre Dame game. It's the hottest ticket in all of college football next year. The amount of high rated recruits that are going to be there is going to be insane (even if they aren't going to commit to UGA).
Only got so many tickets available to give out though
I won't be. I ain't got that kind of scratch (definition: disposable income).
I'm sure its not that limited. Even if Kirby and the staff know someone is likely committing elsewhere they will role out the red carpet for that game because it's good for the UGA brand. Show recruits (likely) ESPN Gameday, a CBS night game, and a victory over a top 5ish team.
Is there a hard limit I'm not aware of on those kind of tickets/recruiting section?
There is a hard limit. And the ND and TAMU games are reserved for top priority recruits.
Most schools will provide 3 tickets to those they believe are legit recruits from 2020 - 2023 kids. 2023 kids can get tickets & attend one game at that school. It increases a little each year.
A 2023 kid, unless he is some superstar, will not be attending the ND game. But could attend the Murray state, Arkansas state or possibly the Mizzou or Kentucky game.
If all the tickets are accounted for and Dexter, Gilbert or Ricks decides they want to attend the game - someone further down the totem pole will get a phone call and an invitation to attend a different game.
Previously Gilbert was slated to OV for ND. Not sure if that’s changed recently.
Ricks is a possibility as well although i see value having him OV against TAMU.
Don’t expect an OV from Dexter. Any visit that takes place will not likely be a “public” visit. We’ll update that as we get closer to flip season “if we can” (subtle hint).
