Great point. For kids with a major in-state program, it's probably much easier to commit to the in-state and flip right before ESD and you head out of town to early enroll - otherwise they get grief from all the locals for months.
What I can say with supreme confidence is that Chaney and his family are entertaining Dell. It has been this way for months and has not wavered. Chaney has been a secondary priority target for a long time. If it becomes clear that UGA and Evans is no longer happening, and Dell goes all in on Chaney, I would easily put him into the flip candidate category. He would likely be the priority flip candidate target in front of Lloyd (btw Maryland chatter is picking up there).
Good point.
Reminded of this ....every ....single....month...on the beat.

I think we all have sprculated that Lloyd will not wind up a Scar, and for awhile Penn St seemed like the other school UGA would be up against on the flip. But as you said above, Maryland is making some moves with kids in that DC area now with the start of the season. Definitely could see Lloyd flip there , and i believe he has an old coach there too ?
As long as they don’t take our Maryland stud, I’m glad they’re getting some recruits. That state put out some talent this cycle, to say the least. And I’d love for Lloyd to flip from the chickens

There are still alot of pieces that need to commit and its hard being so patient. I just want ONE of our big targets to make it public and I would be good for a while (Ringo, Evans, Washington, Burch, Theo (or Gilbert).
Gotcha. Not sure. I believe it was UGA, TAMU, OU.
I hear you, and I get it. We only have 4 priority spots remaining, technically. 2 TEs, 1 edge, 1 CB. All other priority positions have been satisfied. Only focused on the elite of the elite now. Just getting 2-3 of these guys to pop prior to ESD will be an accomplishment. Historically these top ~35 guys wait until all eyes are on them. After ND it may heat up quickly for offense. Would not anticipate defensive targets to pop before Dec, especially defensive flips.
Looking at numbers for each school (and not knowing who may get BB'd like I would at UGA) things get pretty interesting for Bama, Clem, and UGA.
RB - Evans is the man to me. Friday will answer alot IMO. Im sure either way negativity will come from "fans" about the (peep the keyword) KID. After that Im hoping the backup plan is Chaney or bust. Im not too impressed by next years crop from tape Ive seen so far. 2020 and 2022 offer a lot though.
WR/Flex - Arik Gilbert... I am of the belief UGA is 4th but realistically third after Clem and Bama. UT is offering him PT better than all. Clemson is secretpy deep at TE and WR. Bama has returning depth and Sark doesnt really empathize TEs like he should. My thinking questioning is if UGA can continue to show versatility is there a way they get AG in at Flex. As for Smith I think hes the backup for everything sadly. BU option at Clemson and BU option at UGA for AG. But I could be wrong.
TE - I think DW is locked in and makes no qualms or worries about who comes with him. Theo is the guy I think DW is luring with him but PSU and Mich offer tradition and closeness to home.
DL - With a spot opening up I think that bodes well for one of the big three (Burch, ZWalk, and Dex). Burch is a conundrum. I cant get a read on him. But him at the BBQ said something a lil bit I think maybe I guess. ZWalk is probably a #s game. I think CKS has to see where things line up. Dex will know his answer thru Week 6,7, and 9 as that'll show what Mullen can do.
CB - Ringo in my mind is a guy just waiting to commit under the bright lights. Amd I have nothing agaimst him and his moment. Ricks being really close friends with Milton draws the interest on both sides. But Ricks like many of the guys UGA is interested in doesnt talk much (which usually a CB is the biggest talker lol). Im hoping UGA is aiming for another guy to take in 3 CBs all together.
Thats 9 guys looking at 7 spots. If Kirby can get more which is possible with draft and transfers then UGA maybe can squeeze 8 or 9 of 9.
Those guys may have come together over golf. They all enjoyed it.
I don't think we have much of a chance with Gilbert. BA is totally focused on him like he was with Hazelwood last year. It seems like when he zeros in on someone they run for somewhere else. I'd like to get Gilbert because he is a Ga guy. But he doesn't seem to be showing us much love at the moment.
I think I heard that he (Gilbert) was taking his official at the Kentucky game. Which I think is a benefit. It will give the coaching staff a chance to have some quality time with him.
Like he zeroed in on pickens and we missed right? Oh wait.... He's at UGA. Dont blame BA for missing on guys who don’t wanna be at UGA. Anyway Next to commit is walker IMO
Next Commit will be Zykeivous Walker.
