Hey folks - as a member of the DawgNation community, please remember to abide by simple rules of civil engagement with other members:

- Personal attacks on other community members are unacceptable, practice the good manners your mama taught you when engaging with fellow Dawg fans
- Use common sense and respect personal differences in the community: sexual and other inappropriate language or imagery, political rants and belittling the opinions of others will get your posts deleted and result in warnings and/ or banning from the forum
- 3/17/19 UPDATE -- We've updated the permissions for our "Football" and "Commit to the G" recruiting message boards. We aim to be the best free board out there and that has not changed. We do now ask that all of you good people register as a member of our forum in order to see the sugar that is falling from our skies, so to speak.

The people on the gaturd page are going ballistic over it.
The people on the Gaturd page are saying he has taken all his UF pictures off his tweeter page.
Good call. It looks like he currently has 9 out of 12 leaning UGA and previously had 9 out of 13. Someone pulled their pick on him altogether.
What do you mean by when his team isn't any good and he is a top ten player? His team is **** good.
And you don't care how a kid reacts? Really?
Yes his team is d a m n good, especially last year but their 1st game this year, they didn't look great. Especially against that unranked Kady team(whose D is legit btw). Had Evans been given more carries, it possibly could made a big difference and may have won the game.
Katy is a top team in the country. Lol. They werent ranked because they lost 2 games last year. North Shore in the regular season and North Shore in the playoffs. Only reason they werent ranked. They're probably consistently a top team down here.
I don't disagree that he should have been given more carries.
But no one - especially a kid in high school - should ever react the way he did. Incredibly unacceptable. Hopefully he learns from it and turns out to be a small bump in the road. But to suggest he's entitled to act that way because he is a top 10 player is ridiculous.
And who cares if they got beat by a so called unranked team. How can anyone rank high school programs before the season anyway? Katy just happens to be one of the very best programs in the country.
And yes. Their defense is legit. That's the reason they have only lost about 20 games in about 20 years.
I think you're being tough on him Tex. I allow kids/adults/parents to all get it out with me. And I react accordingly but never in the same manner. But no one is perfect in this situation.
I don't disagree with what you are saying. My point has never been to bury the kid. 18 year olds make poor decisions. I get it.
Other circumstances could have been involved. I get that.
And I certainly hope things work out for him whether it's UGA or wherever. And hopefully it's UGA.
But that doesn't mean he was justified in his actions because he was misused and he is a superstar player. His actions were wrong - regardless of the reasons.
But hopefully he learns from it and it ends up being nothing.
I think it happens more now than it should. Watching that QB1 series, I saw Martel, Rattler, and the kid from the Florida school who went to Kentucky talk back and criticize their coaches. One of them wouldn't even come out of the game when he was told to come out.
I thought if I had done that, after I had run the stadium steps Saturday and after practice each day the following week, he may let crawl under the bench for the next game.
It made me really appreciate Fromm, and his parents.
I agree I just look at his outburst and for argument sake... I tend to have the ego and pride to back down and reflect. I would've had to agree with him, dissect (explain) why I misused him, etc.
Also can we look into and see if it was ego or competitive spirit. (If we had been the coaches there).
Funny all of us are hoping we 42-7 Florida again so Dexter can see the light but the stomping we took @ LSU last season didn’t have Emery thinking . LOL I love our optimism !!! ( I’m also in belief that other circumstances played a huge role for Emery as well )
@texdawg I think the coaches handled this well. He FL has been disciplined and because of that probably humbled and grew from this situation. Often when athletes are allowed to get away with every thing they don’t have personal growth, become entitled which leads to big time problems later. No different than diva movie stars
We’ve already had this Evan conversation about his attitude and what we would do and blah blah blah, in this thread. Let’s not go down that road again.
Big recruiting weekend coming up with Notre Dame. Excited for the visitor list, especially the 2021 class.
