Hey folks - as a member of the DawgNation community, please remember to abide by simple rules of civil engagement with other members:
- Please no inappropriate usernames (remember that there may be youngsters in the room)
- Personal attacks on other community members are unacceptable, practice the good manners your mama taught you when engaging with fellow Dawg fans
- Use common sense and respect personal differences in the community: sexual and other inappropriate language or imagery, political rants and belittling the opinions of others will get your posts deleted and result in warnings and/ or banning from the forum
- 3/17/19 UPDATE -- We've updated the permissions for our "Football" and "Commit to the G" recruiting message boards. We aim to be the best free board out there and that has not changed. We do now ask that all of you good people register as a member of our forum in order to see the sugar that is falling from our skies, so to speak.

However, it wasn't free.
My dad passed this past July after a battle with Parkinson's and Alzheimer's. Simply put, my dad was my best friend. He was a great husband, father, friend, and Christian.
He was also a devout Catholic.
That being said, he would NEVER root for anyone over his Bulldogs.
He taught me all about football, as well as life
I'm excited that he will have the best seat on Saturday night. He deserves it.
I'll still talk to him about the game, don't worry about that.
Some day I will see him again and we will rehash every game that we were not together.
I really hope to start it off by talking about our National Championships.
GO DAWGS!!!

By far the best seat. Hope the outcome of the game makes him even happier than I'm sure he already is.
Now , that is the BEST SEAT in the BIG HOUSE!! GOD BLESS
Maybe just my opinion but your father has much better things to enjoy in Heaven than football. He already has what we are all waiting for and that is eternal life with Jesus Christ.
God Bless you, and thanks for sharing.
Exactly
That's awesome @BiffLowman. Brought a tear to my eye. God bless your dad and your family. Can't wait for Saturday. Go Dawgs!!!!!!
Amen and God bless
Tough read.... hang in there @BiffLowman through the season. Praying for peace for ya
He will have my dad and a lot of others there to watch it with. In spite of some heartbreaking losses over the past few years, I still know God loves the Dawgs.
After our last three championship games against Bama I have my doubts
It was a tough write but I felt the need to tell y'all about him as there is too much bickering on some forums. I wanted to focus on something good. He sure as heck was.
I like that he is surrounded by friends and family. It helps some.
My dad has not passed yet but he is long in the tooth . He made me a DAWG fan over the years and I pray that he witnesses another national title be fore he passes. I would like to make a toast to all the dads that shaped us into the DAWG fans we have become. HERE'S TO THE MEN THAT MADE MEN DAWG FANS!!!!!
GOOOOOO DAWGS!
AMEN!!!
The best seat for me will be behind the house. My newly minted former storage building/current rec-building will be my viewing spot. I get the center seat recliner...cause it's mine.
It better be worth it, it almost killed you. 😉
Lovely post to start this thread.
I can't imagine missing any Georgia games in heaven. Not saying everyone in heaven watches college football, but if I get there I plan to.
Go, Dawgs!
Yep, I'm determined to get the most out of it.
This is "off topic" but I'm a senior citizen, dumb, and I can't figure out how/where to comment.
I'm a Tennessee fan and I simply wanted to state, what you'al did for last weeks game (wearing pink and honoring the Arkansas coach who lost his wife to cancer) was one of the most honorable, classy, great effort and I want to applaud you appropriately. I have two friends fighting cancer, one fighting leukemia for three years now, the other taking Chemo and I help her husband by driving her back and forth to UT Hospital in Knoxville (and I thank the Lord that I can even help just a little). Anyway, I read online about what the Georgia Nation did and it simply made me ball, and I'm a man who doesn't normally ball. THANK YOU SO MUCH, and I'm terrible sorry to perhaps have posted this in the wrong place.

Thanks.
@TennesseeFan Incredibly classy of you to take the time and make the effort to post that in our forum. Feel free to stick around or rejoin us for the lead up to our game on Oct. 5. Hope y'all can get things turned around in Knoxville.
