Would think Lloyd would be easier to flip than Bigsby...is Chaney a realistic flip target in your opinion?
Well, good thing we got Milton. I’m sure Clayton is a fine back but if we’re going plan D then it’s disappointing.
Bijan Robinson is just built different!! Scat back moves with thunder back size.
Chaney is my first flip choice with Lloyd behind him.
LOL, figured I’d get the DVs and next I’ll be reminded that Herrien was a 3 star. I’m ecstatic we got Milton BUT as Jeff and others said Evans was an alpha and the kind of guy who could make the difference against the elite teams in the biggest games.
If you wanna tell me that we don’t need that sort of back and Clayton is a perfect substitute then take it up with the experts. Personally I’m holding out for a flip of a higher rated guy. Love Dell but this will be two years in a row where apparently bad luck has cost huge misses if Clayton ends up being the consolation prize.
Bring on the DVs. This is Georgia. RBU.
Hey scooter,,, pretty sure Dell landed Milton and back in the day fields. Think he is doing just fine. We rolled the dice on “the best” but when competency overshadows character , it’s always only a matter of time before it falls. Having Antonio Brown in the room is not something we want. It’s a blessing. Even if we miss on another elite RB because of how all this played out, we still got Milton. That is a win.
1) Chaney
2) Tank
3) Robinson
4) Lloyd
5) EJ Smith
6) Clayton
So you think Dell is starting to fail as a recruiter ?
Dell traveled to Houston to recruit Evans. LOL. No way he uses a bye weekend to just “gather evidence” if we are going to pass on him. The coaches were already aware of the situation.
Maybe. Dell absolutely wants the talent. He absolutely met with staff there too. Evans was absolutely suspended and he absolutely did something to earn it. We’ll see as we never know in recruiting. I’d temper expectations here and I was one of the first to say UGA and Evans chatter was real. Hate to see it but is what it is.
The thing I don’t really understand is, why on one of your two bye weeks during the season do you send your best recruiter to find out about a situation you can find out all about by just making a phone call.
If you really needed to hear it face to face could you not send one of our lesser recruiters like Scott Fountain?
I’m sure the UGA coaches have known every detail of the situation from the get go, so they didn’t decide to pass on Evans last night. This was a choice made with input from the entire staff. So again questioning why waist your best recruiter to tell a kid thanks, but no thanks
I’m curious to hear what your solution to this problem, as you outline it, is?
I don’t think you can put a price on first hand viewing. He probably wanted to see how Evans interacted with coaches and teammates in person rather than hearing a filtered version from someone who actually was there.
Woah... if Robinson is a real option then please can I get greedy! I’d love to land him
Robinson is locked in on Texas.
