Hey folks - as a member of the DawgNation community, please remember to abide by simple rules of civil engagement with other members:
- Please no inappropriate usernames (remember that there may be youngsters in the room)
- Personal attacks on other community members are unacceptable, practice the good manners your mama taught you when engaging with fellow Dawg fans
- Use common sense and respect personal differences in the community: sexual and other inappropriate language or imagery, political rants and belittling the opinions of others will get your posts deleted and result in warnings and/ or banning from the forum
- 3/17/19 UPDATE -- We've updated the permissions for our "Football" and "Commit to the G" recruiting message boards. We aim to be the best free board out there and that has not changed. We do now ask that all of you good people register as a member of our forum in order to see the sugar that is falling from our skies, so to speak.

So glad I didn't see this thread until @SoFL_Dawg had already let us in on the joke. Had a little heart burn going, not gonna lie.
YEP!!! FINE NOW THANKS!!!
Too Late,
Mic drop 🎤
@SoFL_Dawg if I had to guess I would venture to say that your favorite emotion to experience is schadenfreude. Well done sir. Well done. Ha ha ha ha ha. That was awesome.
SoFl_Dawg how could you scare the old men on this site. There may have been 4 or 5 strokes or heart attacks. As Fred Sanford said "It is the big one.".
Been plotting for a while, waiting for anticipated evidence that there could be smoke of him going elsewhere. You guys should thank @JeffSentell. I tried to get him in on it but he declined. Just a much better man than me.
It would’ve been epic had he participated.
Had @JeffSentell joined in, I’d have lost faith in life itself... next you’d have me believing that the Easter bunny wasn’t real... life implodes...
I was thinking he was being very quiet. That enough was being apart of it
Since we can now laugh contentedly at @SoFL_Dawg 's prank re: Ringo, I'll indulge myself in this here. "Chewing the scenery" isn't the correct, or at least not the best, term for what Catherine is doing. In a list of theatrical terms, I found that "steal" or "steal focus" is what she is doing. This is not the same as "scene stealing" or "stealing a scene", which are good things that can happen - someone doing more than expected. EDIT: I suppose UPSTAGING is the current term, but I like my "catching flies" term as per below.
However, I saw the term "catching flies" in a book. I think it was a biography of Groucho Marx, and either he used the term or perhaps it was George Burns (also a comedian) recounting an actor in vaudeville that was stealing focus from his, George's or Groucho's, performance. So an actor was catching flies (not literally) while one was performing, which required retaliation at another performance.
"Catching flies" in more recent vintage, but still ancient to many of you, can be illustrated by viewing the hearse scene in The Magnificent Seven and watch Steve McQueen as Yul Brenner is talking and driving the hearse at the start. How much value is it to rattle the shotgun shells in your ear?
A commentator mentions similar behavior by Steve and others, also at Yul Brynner's expense, at 5:40 here (start at 5:32). Also at 6:25 specifically about Steve McQueen. Yeah, he may as well have been catching flies. Surprisingly, I cannot find "Catching flies" as a current theatrical term.
Actually they mostly did. We saved their arses. They given up their country now.
But we should not give up on Ringo like our ancestors didn’t give up in the face of machine guns on DDay
“What? Over? Did you say 'over'? Nothing is over until we decide it is! Was it over when the Germans bombed Pearl Harbor?”
If we were to lose Ringo, could we keep his mom?
Would have been cruel
