- 3/17/19 UPDATE -- We've updated the permissions for our "Football" and "Commit to the G" recruiting message boards. We aim to be the best free board out there and that has not changed. We do now ask that all of you good people register as a member of our forum in order to see the sugar that is falling from our skies, so to speak.

@Iwantburch pretty sure he’s already received his jersey
Not sure, but id guess it was a flip from TX to UGA by a ND staffer
Sounds like the decision continues to get tougher and tougher. Wanted to make sure to place it here where @razorachilles could eyeball it.
Thanks @JeffSentell - awesome insights, per usual.
Choosing a college is the biggest decision for any 17-year old at that stage of their life, nevermind a teenager with as many eyes on said decision as these elite recruits have.
Wishing him the best of luck in his decision - I'm confident he'll be successful wherever he ends up -
Burch posted “big day tmr” on his snapchat story
Hmm, he doesn’t seem like the type to troll. This might be something big
Just read the Theo piece ...
As great of a place as our beloved UGA is - I’m amazed that he’s considering us from Canada. Either
1) Hartley must be awesome
Or
2) Theo regularly reads our message boards and understands how desperately we want our tight ends to be open and thrown to regularly , and how despite recent success in the win column , we do not like that we’ve been in some kind of 7 year wilderness when it comes to tight end production.
I share Jeff’s sentiment from earlier - you can feel the mind pressure he has coming through in his quotes.
I hope he’s a dawg but understand if he’s not.
@JeffSentell uses the line the “heart wants what the heart wants”. Breaking down the words used by TJ in article today. What y’all think about the highlighted in bold sections?
I know that they haven’t been able to do certain things with the tight ends,” Johnson said. “Because they don’t have the personnel right now and stuff. I just think the big thing with Georgia right now is certain schools have proven usage of the tight ends and stuff like that but the thing that interests me with Georgia and keeps me like thinking about them is just the possibility to kind of change the tight end room.”
”The possibility for me to change the tight end room at Georgia is there,” he said. “To where Georgia is starting to use tight ends more afterward then as a school. Some of the things that people say about other school’s tight ends then they would then be saying about Georgia’s tight ends. That definitely interests me about Georgia to kind of change the culture and change what people think about the tight ends coming out of there.”
“I feel he is being truthful with me so it would take a leap of faith and just trusting Coach Hartley and everything he’s been telling me through this process is going to hold up when I actually get there.”
If TJ realizes that Nauta ran a 4.9 at the combine, but still did ok, and that Wolfe is the best athlete in the TE room per MG, then yes he should realize We haven’t had anyone like him and he can indeed make a difference.
The optimist in me (hopes) TJ is looking for a reason to chose UGA. And hopefully he sees that guys like Wolf are getting important targets - and that he is likely to get even more opportunities to make a big impact. And I hope he's getting sick of the cold winters up north.
When you read that highlighted bold section together, feel like he was telling us exactly what he’s thinking. Glass half full approach, waiting to hear something here.
Regarding Burch..
I’m confident this isn’t football related in any way. It sounds like he’s giving a senior speech tomorrow at Hammond, and that is what this is referring to. Don’t expect any big announcement tomorrow from him, especially not a commitment.
Credit to Anna over at 247 for this one.
First off, really articulate and well spoken kid who totally understands the complexities of this decision. Love the athletic ability and now really love the kind of kid he is.
Felt like we may be the school he spoke of when mentioning where he would go to school if he didn’t play ball. Really good omen there IMO but also just me reading between the lines and could be off.
I also don’t think it takes a huge leap of faith to see we do want our TEs more involved. We have one on the field basically every play and frequently run 12 personnel, and we have given Wolf plenty of opportunities this year. Literally don’t think I’ve ever seen us run a 5 receiver set or 10 personnel but have seen TEs flexed out in the slot plenty. I do think Fromm just favors outside throws which limits TE targets as well.
Ive mentioned that smith is my #1 priority left personally but I think Theo may be my #2. Dynamic skill position players can totally change your offense. Guys that are this big and long are rarely that fast, but he seems to have really good agility and mobility as well. Really rare kind of athlete and I’m a big fan of what I’ve seen.
Not sure how this knowledge would impact Theo but over time UGA is so TEU. Many greats that we used at UGA and went NFL. Theo would help restore the natural order.
I noticed he said the field they were supposed to play on was iced over. We’re the only team in his top 4 that can offer nice weather to play in!!!😉
