Hey folks - as a member of the DawgNation community, please remember to abide by simple rules of civil engagement with other members:
- Please no inappropriate usernames (remember that there may be youngsters in the room)
- Personal attacks on other community members are unacceptable, practice the good manners your mama taught you when engaging with fellow Dawg fans
- Use common sense and respect personal differences in the community: sexual and other inappropriate language or imagery, political rants and belittling the opinions of others will get your posts deleted and result in warnings and/ or banning from the forum
- 3/17/19 UPDATE -- We've updated the permissions for our "Football" and "Commit to the G" recruiting message boards. We aim to be the best free board out there and that has not changed. We do now ask that all of you good people register as a member of our forum in order to see the sugar that is falling from our skies, so to speak.

Not to speak for @SoFL_Dawg, but if you look at the post above yours, you will see he made this statement:
On record though, I think we’ve done enough and will secure his commitment.
Sounds pretty solid to me.
I'll suggest that Arik may look more polished now because he plays a more competitive brand of high school football. And it's likely not even close.
More concentration on the sport, goes against better players every Friday night, most likely....but not necessarily....better coaching, and probably significantly better off season work.
That gives him a leg up on day one......not necessarily year two.
I believe so...can’t post my go to because that means “no worries” but I believe we’ve done enough.
Clemson dropped the ball over the summer, I don’t mind being a top back up option. Momma Burch probably still likes USCjr as top choice, but their coach won’t be there to see Burch for a full 3 years. We enter as the best compromise. Hearing LSU now in the mix as well but I believe we’ve done enough.
To clarify, the earlier visit was an unofficial. Because well, I know such things.
And then there's proof. Check that badge. OVs earn a different one
You're a solid poster on our board but looks like your source (Ms. Hickey) was wrong on this one.
I would suggest at his height that DW may struggle with blocking early on.
It is very likely that DW struggles early on in the SEC. I can almost assure you that at his height and being in high school he will struggle some with lower body strength and getting and staying low.
This is a huge struggle with most very tall kids.
It will be corrected by our S&C program but will take time.
Of all 3.....DW seems to be the most intriguing and may have the greatest upside. But all 3 should be very good. Just realize these really tall kids may need a little time.
Another thing to think about with Theo Johnson.
He plays football in a different league. With a different set of rules. In Canada.
Wait until he gets a chance to play with dudes who can do what he does. With you know, not being limited to only have three downs on offense.
Wonder what the stats of all the HS football players in the U.S. would look like if everyone punted on third down?
He reminds me of Gronk. Gronk had a solid upper body and was known as a good blocker. But he has a small lower section. I noticed that he blocked with throws and arm extension release to route. He is who I can see DW being if he buys into the system.
Just glad this circus will be over soon
Does this circus ever end?
We are just a couple of months away from the 2021 kid who Georgia or Clemson has to sign if either has any chance to win.
Unfortunately for us people who care wayyy too much about the decisions of 18 year olds, no, the recruiting circus never ends.
But this particular circus finally leaving town will relieve a lot of angst
Odd year for South Carolina as a state. Does next year being a weaker class and North Carolina being so close (w/ 2 5* & 15 4*) keep the circus nearby?
So far, I haven’t come across a ‘21 recruitment like this one. Tbh, I hope there’s never another recruitment like Burch.
Does that mean you don’t really think he’s going to Clemson?
Dabo can’t be trying to get a player to transfer without speaking to their parents first. Ill advised move followed by prioritizing Murphy.
I get why y’all feel the way you do about him. That was Gilbert for us.
