Hey folks - as a member of the DawgNation community, please remember to abide by simple rules of civil engagement with other members:
- Please no inappropriate usernames (remember that there may be youngsters in the room)
- Personal attacks on other community members are unacceptable, practice the good manners your mama taught you when engaging with fellow Dawg fans
- Use common sense and respect personal differences in the community: sexual and other inappropriate language or imagery, political rants and belittling the opinions of others will get your posts deleted and result in warnings and/ or banning from the forum
- 3/17/19 UPDATE -- We've updated the permissions for our "Football" and "Commit to the G" recruiting message boards. We aim to be the best free board out there and that has not changed. We do now ask that all of you good people register as a member of our forum in order to see the sugar that is falling from our skies, so to speak.

I’m guessing we have to be extremely extremely confident in getting Smith AND Burton now, as well as Burton qualifying. Others may be higher rated but wren has big upside and I know the staff liked him a lot.
Who’s the 1/10 so we can tar and feather him
I trust the coaching staff, I just wish we could get some positive recruiting news soon.
I know they have a plan and I would much rather us go after big targets than already having the proverbial “hay in the barn” and not be big-time recruits.
Just like Plumlee last year, I’ve come think of this kid as a dawg! Already daydreaming about big plays he would make with that speed to offset the loss of Plumlee. Oh well,!on to the next to Committ....Smith or Burton who might commit first
Based on recent misses I won’t say anything definitively. I’ll just say my post today wasn’t out of left field.
i put a few assumptions in that post based on what I’d like to see. 7 pass catchers was too heavy of an allocation. 6 might be the magic number though and space had to be created for that. We need guys who can contribute immediately in that room. I’ve been told to expect that we’ll get that immediate contribution but we’ll see how this unfolds over next 2-3 weeks.
I wonder what the deal is with Stackhouse...is he in process of being billybobbed and looking or is he in love with the game of flirting with prospective suitors?
I was picking up what you were laying down...
Wonder if Cook's comments this week about being patient/waiting his turn (and presumably NOT entering the portal after sparse use this season) made Wren that much more expendable in this class. Thought I had read that Wren might be used in a similar capacity in the offense in the future (screens, sweeps, etc. vs inside runs).
Not trying to sound harsh on Wren who's clearly a talented player...just acknowledging the nuances of roster management.
He’s been like that forever.
yeah, but I thought he stopped flirting at our request. I could be wrong, but I thought someone (maybe SoFL_Dawg) said he was given the choice to continue flirting and get ousted or stop and he remains a take. I don't know, was just speculating. It just seems as though there is a ton of movement at the moment.
We’re losing 1 Barnett 2 Clark 3 Carter(don’t recall him playing though) 4 Justin Young 5. David Marshall, but keeping Rochester
The 3 DL we have don’t seem like enough. Originally I thought we Needed at least one more DL preferably 2 to offset these loses. Is that still the plan. If we don’t get Burch or Dexter, then do we have a viable alternative or just go with 3
Okay but the real question is, did dexter actually visit us over the weekend? Would be huge imo
I trust our staff and I’ll acknowledge he’s the croot that I don’t understand the love fest with his game. Felt that he should’ve been allowed to walk vs. letting Burroughs. Still waiting to see or hear something that makes me think he’s going to be a significant contributor to our team.
Havent seen anything about his game that excites me, he also “quit” at the opening after being worked by OL. Suffice to say I’m not a fan, but if he indeed signs, I’ll support him like family...kinda like the dad who has to support his daughter when she decides to marry a knucklehead.
Maybe we get Burroughs back...lol. Bama fans are acting like their program is burning to the ground.
I'm taking the "all's well that ends well" approach to this recruiting cycle. I certainly trust the staff, but I don't trust 18 year old kids, so this cycle seems particularly nerve racking. I need an SECCG to relax me. 🙄
