Agree. Spot on. 4 OL is better roster management too keeping current guys and getting 2021 big 3-4 targets.
Can use the spot for BPA in 2020 at other need positions
I agree on Braun. Watching his film, I was really impressed. The young man is a Mauler. Correct me if I am wrong, but didn't I read somewhere that Braun's dad was high on the hiring of CML as our new OL coach? Seems strange he would decommit right after his dad made that statement.
Braun and Sewell win the best highlight clip awards this year. Wish they were in this class.
They were not given the option to remain. Luke never offered at Ole Miss and for reasons unknown to us, hes not that high on Braun.
Well that makes more sense
It’s cool. I’ve done a few of those too
Man, that is some great info right there. That explains it and I was afraid that was the reason. So we our left to trust CML evaluations over CSP. That's tough.
Like any walk in life, new manager comes in and he’s going to want his own folks. As an associate HC, Kirby also has to show that trust by allowing him to make that decision.
Even is Braun had stayed in class. How likely is it to get on field when your position coach doesn’t value your skill set? Transfer portal train would’ve been on the way.
Wow...My gut reaction to this is that CML may be more of a layup hire than a slam dunk now. Maybe I am overestimating the difficulty in retaining OL commits, but this is a bit of a D*ck move to kick off your tenure with and if I am one of the other OL recruits and I hear that CML told one of the guys I was expecting to be a teammate next year to hit the road from the get go, that would say a lot about a guy that I dont really know that well...i.e. Not a lot of experience to offset this blemish.
Hopefully there is more here than it seems, but I'm not sure I see the logic and I definitely don't like the smell of it.
Hopefully this will make everyone feel better.
Agreed
Hate when I have friends over and they don’t take their shoes off before coming in. So disrespectful. Lol.
I am quite distracted by the dolls on the mantel
To me it sounds more like a mutual parting of the ways with the Braun family and CML.
No prior connection, Braun needs to make a decision early with no time to establish a relationship. Both sides use it as a way to part.
(Parents who have been through the recruiting business for awhile understand this)
Tate's sister is taller than Kirby. Sign her up!
