Hey folks - as a member of the DawgNation community, please remember to abide by simple rules of civil engagement with other members:
- Please no inappropriate usernames (remember that there may be youngsters in the room)
- Personal attacks on other community members are unacceptable, practice the good manners your mama taught you when engaging with fellow Dawg fans
- Use common sense and respect personal differences in the community: sexual and other inappropriate language or imagery, political rants and belittling the opinions of others will get your posts deleted and result in warnings and/ or banning from the forum
- 3/17/19 UPDATE -- We've updated the permissions for our "Football" and "Commit to the G" recruiting message boards. We aim to be the best free board out there and that has not changed. We do now ask that all of you good people register as a member of our forum in order to see the sugar that is falling from our skies, so to speak.

Do any other teams think they’re still in it for Evans in other sites?
This is what I'm wondering as well
Probably utjr
The fact that CBs are still rolling in for ZE should relieve us all. He as 28 picks all for Georgia (%100) and a few very recent ones. Gonna watch this one play out with high confidence he’s gonna be a dawg.
Really hope ZE is given chance to enroll and start fresh in Athens - I will be rooting hard for him. Maybe (hopefully) he just shows up for classes - I'll have my kids look out for him in their classes on Tuesday. /s
maybe he pulls and monty rice and just shows up one day?
If he can't enroll until start of summer for whatever reason and his local environment has so many issues is there family (aunts, uncles, etc) elsewhere in the country he could live with in the interim? I remember from reading The Blind Side how big a deal it was for Michael Oher to get out of the environment he was in.
Can we bring him in and have him take classes at Athens Tech or UNG Oconee in the Spring?
That is not true. If the letter of intent was completed properly and sent to the school, it cannot be rescinded by the school unless the player fails to meet the NCAA requirements or the school admission requirements.
Hmmm. I don’t know about that. My understanding, as long as there’s no announcement publicly, the LOI can be literally torn up by UGA.
@JeffSentell offer clarity?
Jalen Waddle thinks he is going to Alabama... lol
Here is the link to the quick reference guide to the NLI: http://www.nationalletter.org/documentLibrary/nli-guide.pdf
bottom of first page, how is the NLI declared null and void:
"An NLI, interpreted at its most basic definition, is a binding agreement between a school and a prospective student-athlete that assures the player will be given an athletic scholarship for at least one full academic year.
It must be accompanied by a financial-aid agreement – walk-ons are not subject to or permitted to participate in the NLI program – and must be signed and dated within 14 days of its issuance by the athlete and, if he or she is under the age of 21, their legal guardian.
It is renewable at the end of each academic year, though a relatively new NCAA provision allows schools to extend multiyear guarantees at the time of signing. But schools also have the right not to renew a player’s scholarship once each academic year has ended.
What they don’t have the right to do, however, is terminate a signed NLI before the player arrives on campus."
I paraphrased the rest of the relevant paragraphs: The school can't rescind it but they can paint a picture for the athlete that its better for them if they go to another school as they won't play much or at all and their scholarship won't be picked up the next year.
This is kinda dated, 2013, but its the only easy to understand source I could find. Thats the link to the full story which is an interesting read.
https://www.spokesman.com/stories/2013/jun/30/letters-of-intent-not-of-guarantees/
It also states that the school signs of on the document prior to the athlete. There is a 14 day hold that could be taken by the university.
Signed LOI is a signed LOI. Whether it's announced or not doesn't matter.
Where’d you see or deduce that from? JW is from Houston too, so they probably grew up competing in the same leagues, camps, etc.
Bottom line is Kirby and UGA should help this kid out. He would be forever grateful for getting him out of a bad situation. He needs the guidance of the brother hood and family that UGA provides.
Are you being sarcastic? Waddle is friends with Evans since Waddle grew up around the Houston area, he's showing support. I don't speak emoji tweeter language but I'm guessing.fingers crossed=hoping for the best for ya bro, blood=we bros like blood bros. I don't see any elephants.
Yes, i am being sarcastic! Lol
