Hey folks - as a member of the DawgNation community, please remember to abide by simple rules of civil engagement with other members:
- Please no inappropriate usernames (remember that there may be youngsters in the room)
- Personal attacks on other community members are unacceptable, practice the good manners your mama taught you when engaging with fellow Dawg fans
- Use common sense and respect personal differences in the community: sexual and other inappropriate language or imagery, political rants and belittling the opinions of others will get your posts deleted and result in warnings and/ or banning from the forum
- 3/17/19 UPDATE -- We've updated the permissions for our "Football" and "Commit to the G" recruiting message boards. We aim to be the best free board out there and that has not changed. We do now ask that all of you good people register as a member of our forum in order to see the sugar that is falling from our skies, so to speak.

I teach agriculture at our local high school and have led many students to state and national success through the FFA. It’s amazing the long term impact programs like FFA have on kids for the rest of their lives. I enjoy woodworking and have made furniture and other items out of reclaimed barn wood. When my two kids were born, it slowed the woodworking down.
Outside of UGA football, Turkey hunting is my biggest passion. I spend the better part of the season chasing them and the entire offseason waiting on opening day. If anybody on here ever wants to get together and swap a hunt, shoot me a PM.
One of my ex-gf would call bass boats, "shiny boats"....but man, that thing is a flippin & pitching machine!
Need to share some fish pics. I'd occasionally fish some local tourneys in N Ga & always loved when you'd get the surprise monster striper or blue cat. Those are the 2 fresh water fish that would go straight in the cooler for dinner
Super fun to hear about what everyone does well.
I am your above average Joe. I’m really good at a lot of things but have never been elite at one specific thing.
• Like to shoot guns, travel, play Madden, debate sports (in person only, not a fan of online keyboard warrior stuff), hanging with my buds, and I’m pretty good at games.
But as you can see from my profile pic, I have a large young family. Most of my time is spent trying to make sure my wife doesn’t go crazy and making sure my kids know that their dad loves them. No way in hell am I perfect dad but I’m proud of what I’m doing so far.
Echoing all the prior huzzahs to @texdawg for this thread as well as all who’ve shared some of their aspirations, inspirations and what makes them the Dawg they are. I'm in awe and have much respect for the original works, skills, tenacity and achievements being shared here.
At this point, I definitely fall in the passion for many, master of none category; pursuits include fly fishing, kayaking, guitar, wine, sawmilling/woodworking, up cycling, land/forest conservation and preservation, and a few other side hacks.
But, because I hated having to use cutesy, frilly wine charms at the large wine-infused neighborhood parties as much as I hated a 2 buck chuck drinker grabbing my glass of Relentless “by mistake,” I combined a few passions into making what a buddy labeled, “wine tags for dudes” using guitar picks, flies, corks and foils from the bottles and more. I’m able sell them in a local wine shop (and Etsy when I make the time); don’t make enough to quit the day job, but am able to defray a bit of the costs of wine habit/hobby.
Salute’ all Dawgs!
Ha! That's awesome.
Tack "dude-man" onto any trending "widget" & you'll crush it. I predict you'll have a million in another year...
Definitely would love to see pictures of anything you made. Looking to add a zip line to backyard for my 3 girls and need some ideas.
Here’s just a few of the most recent catches. I also love to get a hook in a striper too. Wasn’t really expecting it at the time but the last one weighed just over 19lbs and darn near pulled me in when it decided to turn and go away from the boat.
Wow
Nice! If you caught her on that mini-umbrella rig that's really impressive & bet it was one helluva fight!
This thread should be in the HOF.
Love getting to know Dawg Nation
That’s exactly what she was caught on. That, a 7’6” MH rod, 65lb braid, with zero drag and just hoping she wasn’t gonna break my rod. That’s why she almost pulled me in. My feet weren’t positioned just right when she took off because I didn’t realize she was that big. By the way, I also fish tournaments on the Savannah River system.
MMoon, nice grip & grin shots. Only thing missin is a Power G hat.
I like to rep the camo ones for stealthier fishing. :)
Oh, the Power G is on most of the time! It just so happens I didn’t have it on in these pics. Very odd for sure.
Here you go DawgBones
Yesssss Sir!!!!
At sleeping long hours, over eating vast quantities of food, or simply being one of the laziest people lounging around??? I’m probably championship caliber quality at these easy things that most anyone can do!!!
