Hey folks - as a member of the DawgNation community, please remember to abide by simple rules of civil engagement with other members:
- Please no inappropriate usernames (remember that there may be youngsters in the room)
- Personal attacks on other community members are unacceptable, practice the good manners your mama taught you when engaging with fellow Dawg fans
- Use common sense and respect personal differences in the community: sexual and other inappropriate language or imagery, political rants and belittling the opinions of others will get your posts deleted and result in warnings and/ or banning from the forum
- 3/17/19 UPDATE -- We've updated the permissions for our "Football" and "Commit to the G" recruiting message boards. We aim to be the best free board out there and that has not changed. We do now ask that all of you good people register as a member of our forum in order to see the sugar that is falling from our skies, so to speak.

I have not heard of false positives being an issue. The CDC is currently being very restrictive to who they even allowed to be tested. We've had several people show up with coughing, feeling bad, fevers, etc. But many of them were ruled out as they had cellulitis, or were positive for the flu. We had 1 patient that qualified for the real test. But it's a send off and it takes a couple of days for the results, we have not heard back yet but I think they were just tested yesterday. So maybe by tomorrow we will know.
P.S. The one patient we were allowed to test was not admitted to the hospital, they went home and are on a "self quarantine" for now.
And "the media" also includes a very popular "news" network that's about as all in on the current admin as possible that just happens to be the only national OR international media outlet that's devoting hours of time and their big names to downplaying the risk of the virus.
So we have every major media outlet in the US save one, the WHO, the BBC and foreign media, and legions of doctors who have no dog in the fight on one side telling us to be worried as hell....and then we have Fox News where you hear that it's just the flu and can literally find any of their hour show pundits saying that it's just the evil Dems trying to get Trump.
Exactly
The structural proteins between SARS-COV and SARS-COV-2 are highly conserved. The big differences are in the accessory proteins which typically modulate the immune response. SARS-COV, MERS-COV, and past pandemics are the best examples we have for how SARS-COV-2 will behave seasonally. None of these things suggest COVID-19 will abate with warmer weather. It will only get better with public health measures.
With all said in this thread, can I still eat red meat cooked medium rare?
If you don't, you're a **** commie bastard
Lol bastard and ass are both not censored?
Yes but avoid Chinese food.
Yes, all the way, Illuminati
From the CDC website...guess they're trying to get clicks:
What May Happen
More cases of COVID-19 are likely to be identified in the United States in the coming days, including more instances of community spread. It’s likely that at some point, widespread transmission of COVID-19 in the United States will occur. Widespread transmission of COVID-19 would translate into large numbers of people needing medical care at the same time. Schools, childcare centers, and workplaces, may experience more absenteeism. Mass gatherings may be sparsely attended or postponed. Public health and healthcare systems may become overloaded, with elevated rates of hospitalizations and deaths. Other critical infrastructure, such as law enforcement, emergency medical services, and sectors of the transportation industry may also be affected. Healthcare providers and hospitals may be overwhelmed. At this time, there is no vaccine to protect against COVID-19 and no medications approved to treat it. Nonpharmaceutical interventions would be the most important response strategy.
Dr. Fauci, the expert who speaks after Trump at the press conferences:
Edit: A quick search could find much more alarmist takes from experts but if you don't trust the CDC then IDK what to tell ya.
I'm not gonna let no sensationalist government organization tasked with handling this situation tell me how to live my life.
CDC is just pushing a false and dangerous narrative that viruses are bad for you.
I played Chinese Checkers the other day - could I be at risk for transmission of COVID-19?
Here is a map of the virus worldwide if anybody is interested. The red dots are growing.

I hear Zimbabwe is lovely this time of year
I have doubled my consumption of Corona beer and Chinese food just to help offset their considerable loss of business. I thought it was a joke when I first heard it reported.
To think these same people get to vote and have babies...
These are the same people that think chocolate milk comes from brown cows.
Wait...
Valid points and good post....and also shows that......dawg fans can have differing oponions and still have constructive discussions.
