Hey folks - as a member of the DawgNation community, please remember to abide by simple rules of civil engagement with other members:
- Please no inappropriate usernames (remember that there may be youngsters in the room)
- Personal attacks on other community members are unacceptable, practice the good manners your mama taught you when engaging with fellow Dawg fans
- Use common sense and respect personal differences in the community: sexual and other inappropriate language or imagery, political rants and belittling the opinions of others will get your posts deleted and result in warnings and/ or banning from the forum
- 3/17/19 UPDATE -- We've updated the permissions for our "Football" and "Commit to the G" recruiting message boards. We aim to be the best free board out there and that has not changed. We do now ask that all of you good people register as a member of our forum in order to see the sugar that is falling from our skies, so to speak.

Remember that time where two people from complete opposite sides of the aisle changed each others' minds on the internet?... Me either
This doesn't make sense to me. What is the "fruit" you are after here? If you're trying to convince folks that your perspective is correct, don't get swept up in trying to convince EVERY person of that. If you're trying to mentally joust, it looks like this is pretty fruitful. I tend to be an argumentative person. I learned a few years ago that arguing for the sake of arguing is fine, as long as my counterpart agrees (many people like arguing like this, it's great!). Based on what I have read so far, I think you guys are each exactly what the other is looking for in this discussion.
You don't need a mask if you talk out of........never mind 🤣🤣🤣
Many counties in Florida are already preparing for hospital capacity issues as non essential surgeries have been postponed again already. ICUs being converted to covid specific rooms already and there is a curfew in Miami Beach again. Some restaurants are already closing voluntarily, and beaches and hotel pools are closing for the July 4th weekend all across south and central Florida.
When someone says something along the order of "So your best defense is democrats everywhere are corrupt?", then it becomes fruitless to continue on. Particularly, on a sports message board, where at best I'm in drive-by mode.
I, like you enjoy a good debate. In fact I pay a yearly fee to have the privilege of debating CEO's, Politicians, Political Analysts, former CIA Agents, Doctors etc., etc. I save the good stuff for that site.
I've seen reports to the contrary!
This only applies to the Swine flu!
Clay and Duval county Hospitals are fine. My SIL is having rotator cuff surgery tomorrow. About as elective as you can get seeing as she is a CPA. A friend who is a respiratory therapist here has been put on-call(meaning too slow to come in wait by the phone) twice in the past 2 weeks.
Deaths appear to steadily be going down. Hopefully that correlates to less hospitalizations as well. The 28th was the lowest number of deaths in over 2 months.
A certain hospital in neighboring St. John’s county has at least 24 + cases and is converting their ICU specifically, As well As cutting off non essential surgeries. Specifically lots of young patients being as young as 18 years old as well.
St. Johns county has been hit hard last few weeks. 5 of my family members have caught it one resulting in a 3 day hospital stay. Low 40s age . I know of at least 8 others that have caught it in the same 2 weeks as well.
That's awful there are that many people in the hospital. Not making lite of that in any way.
But doesn't sound as bad considering there are 270000 in the county.
And the best news. They have 97.5% chance of survival. Or probably close to 90% since they are already in the hospital.
Hopefully they keep everything open in St Johns county so the other 269,976 residents can live their life.
Yes it’s not bad most people are just going in and testing positive and they all get sent home. The issue is they are seeing more and more hospital cases and will soon be expecting close to full capacity and that’s all it takes to shut down. They are expecting it to get worse throughout the month.
So worse case scenario...... you have a 4% chance of dying if you catch corona.
But there are also pretty high percentages that you don't catch it.
Let's think about this for a minute...... good chance you don't catch. But if you do.....you have over a 96% chance of survival.
Where Georgia's odds that good against Middle Tennessee State last year?
Wear a mask and open everything up. EVERYTHING.
This is past becoming idiocracy.
Hopefully people will stop going to the hospital.
My son's football team practices in groups of 10. That way if someone tests positive..... the group sits out but the team can continue.
10 days ago one kid tested positive. No symptoms . Still none. The other nine negative.
All 10 are wasting two weeks.
I get it and understand why it has to happen.....but one day we are going to look back and say......wow.... we were all complete idiots.
