It's awesome that you'll put yourself out there like that...kudos and good luck. Very interesting. I especially like the idea of seeing who underestimates....IMO there are way more who overestimate how well we'll do from week to week.
Arkansas was not better than we thought. UGA was worse is all...in Half One. Little Stetson Bennett comes in and in Half Two.... "poof they waz gone"!!!
I am coming late to this discussion. Not to take sides on who is right and who is wrong. I do remember a few things from the spring and summer that were of concern to a lot of us Georgia fans'. I know I was worried that the lack of spring practice was going to impact the offense especially with a new offense being implemented. I do not think that in the May-August time frame anyone thought that Newman was not going to be a member of the team or that JT Daniels would not be cleared to play long before the first game. I know I said in several posts that Georgia needed to go into the break before Florida 4-1. I did not then and do not now think they will beat Alabama at TUSCALOOSA ALABAMA. Georgia had all new starting running backs. A New QB (name not known at the time or today but we knew it was not JF). Georgia needed to rebuild its O-line Yes there was talent but three of the starters are in the NFL and the number one sub is at Tennessee. After Blaylock was injured only one proven receiver.
After playing Arkansas some of the unknowns are much less unknown. We now know that Keraris Jackson is very likely the number two. Demetris Robertson played much better than he had played at Georgia. The freshman receivers are what we hoped they would be (I include Washington here). Matt Landers looks ready to play. Zamir looked good.
His full name is Elijah "Leg Hiker" Moore. Please show the proper respect.
Whatever helps you sleep at night i guess
Sometimes a glass of single malt scotch or a bourbon recommended by @tfk_fanboy.
Sometimes two glasses of milk.
Sometimes cornbread in my milk
Sometimes a couple of melatonin
Always 5-6 Modelos
All things that can help me sleep.
Posting an opinion piece backed up by at least a small amount of research really doesn't affect my sleep in any way.
True Southerner........cornbread and milk. I prefer "sweet" over "buttermilk."
Try Valerian Root. More sleep than relaxation like Melatonin IMO...
And hope Arky proves to be better than some of the naysayers...
Never been a fan of buttermilk either. That's how my dad liked it.
And I'll try Valerian root.
Arky hasnt won a conference game in over 2 years. Theres your research.
Well tex I tend to agree with you about Arkansas. As I understand it they had a lot of young players and not great coaching. This year the young players are a year older and Pittman has assembled a very good coaching staff. I think it showed last Saturday.
They also have a new coaching staff and better players brought in. How can you relate that to past performance?
Gosh....probably shouldn't play the season if it's just based off the past two seasons.
So people expect our offense to start off slow with new OC and no spring practice, but the same no spring practice and a whole new coaching staff should make Arkansas a lot better team to start the year. 🤔 guess I’m to much of a realist and based off our athletes, we should have never been losing at half to an inferior opponent. As BA has said many times on DND, we should beat Arkansas with a RB and no QB. Being #1 on this team talent composite being referred to should make this year natty or bust, and having an offense play like that in the first half won’t even win the East. Look forward to much improvement week 2, and the offense continues where it left of with Mailman or Daniels. Also expect everyone to see Arkansas ain’t all that once Miss st passes for another 600 yards.
Go Dawgs
I'm trying to figure out what people's definition of a "realists" is.
Is a "realist" more knowledgeable......or is a "realist" just another person with an opinion....but the opinions tend to be more negative......you know.....just keeping it real.
Wondering if you actually read the OP?
1) Declaring yourself a realist is a passive aggressive way of saying you are smarter/better than those you argue with (they are un-realists?...de-real?)
2) If Ole Miss passes for 600 yards against them it may mean that Arkansas is as good as Florida. Or as bad as Florida.
Go Dawgs.
