Hey folks - as a member of the DawgNation community, please remember to abide by simple rules of civil engagement with other members:
- Please no inappropriate usernames (remember that there may be youngsters in the room)
- Personal attacks on other community members are unacceptable, practice the good manners your mama taught you when engaging with fellow Dawg fans
- Use common sense and respect personal differences in the community: sexual and other inappropriate language or imagery, political rants and belittling the opinions of others will get your posts deleted and result in warnings and/ or banning from the forum
- 3/17/19 UPDATE -- We've updated the permissions for our "Football" and "Commit to the G" recruiting message boards. We aim to be the best free board out there and that has not changed. We do now ask that all of you good people register as a member of our forum in order to see the sugar that is falling from our skies, so to speak.

Not sure if you’ve noticed but I’m currently fighting the mob you’re in
I’m convinced you all have below 5th grade reading comprehension
One should strive to do the best one can, whatever the endeavor. Get better every day, if possible.
I’m at a 4th grade reading comprehension level hoping to be 5th grade soon. But from my level it sounds to me like he was put in a conservatorship that didn’t prevent him from doing anything he wanted to do or signing contracts for himself that he wanted to sign (nfl, endorsements etc) and receiving his money that he earned. A movie and book was made about him and the tuohys (early on) and he has received his share of the profits according to the Tuohys Which he disputes and can easily be determined. The tuohys have agreed to end the conservatorship which doesn’t appear to have caused him any harm physically or financially so the only thing left is to determine the money trail of profits for the movie/book. I don’t believe it will be as much as he is expecting
Pretty good for a 4th grade reader!!!
Even if they didn't make a lot of money, Oher can still sue for damages for breaching their fiduciary responsibility.
Edit: They aren't even at that stage yet though since he's just trying to have the conservatorship ended and have a proper accounting of his finances since they failed to follow the rules of the conservatorship and submit annual financial reports.
Looks like you’re in one rn fr
I have a photo of the wealthiest man on the planet. I am impervious to any anti-wealthy people criticism.
Not correct.
"According to the 2004 conservatorship filing, reviewed by PEOPLE, a judge placed Oher into a conservatorship with the Tuohys and declared the Memphis-area couple “should have all powers of attorney to act on his behalf and further that Oher shall not be allowed to enter into any contracts or bind himself without the direct approval of his conservators.”
So in fact, he wouldn't legally have been allowed to sign his NFL contract without the Tuohy's direct approval. So if he DID get their approval, then he knew, should have known, back then, the extent of the conservatorship as he was a college grad, on the Dean's list, and already 23 years old.
If he didn't get their direct approval, how was the contract legally executed?
How are contract disputes typically settled?
With duels to the death
at least you proposed an enforcement mechanism instead of magic
I am still at "see spot run."
Why didn’t the Tuohys file annual financial reports and break the law? I can’t understand how this happened since the law says they have to do this.
