Hey folks - as a member of the DawgNation community, please remember to abide by simple rules of civil engagement with other members:
- Please no inappropriate usernames (remember that there may be youngsters in the room)
- Personal attacks on other community members are unacceptable, practice the good manners your mama taught you when engaging with fellow Dawg fans
- Use common sense and respect personal differences in the community: sexual and other inappropriate language or imagery, political rants and belittling the opinions of others will get your posts deleted and result in warnings and/ or banning from the forum
- 3/17/19 UPDATE -- We've updated the permissions for our "Football" and "Commit to the G" recruiting message boards. We aim to be the best free board out there and that has not changed. We do now ask that all of you good people register as a member of our forum in order to see the sugar that is falling from our skies, so to speak.

Isn't that what criminals do? Things other than what the law says?
That’s correct. I’m trying to get the NFL contract truthers to explain how Oher’s contracts would be voided. The prevailing idea from them is that his name would simply disappear from the contract if he was actually under a conservatorship
You're either elite, or you're not!
Disappearing ink. Andy Griffith used that once to fool Briscoe Darling.
Would explain everything.

OHHHH THE EVIL TUOHYS!!!!!
😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
Non sequitur. My comment has nothing to do with a contract dispute.
And now a red herring with the "contract truthers" nonsense. And more nonsense with the "prevailing idea". Who here has said his name would disappear? Come with facts please.
I provided proof that the conservatorship was written in such a way that the Tuohy's would have had to give direct approve of his NFL contract. Did he not know that? Did he know it then and has forgotten now? Was it signed without the Tuohy's approval? Which is it and if it's the latter, was it a valid contract?
And still waiting for proof that the Tuohy's made a significant contribution to the movie script. They didn't receive credit, aren't listed as script or screenplay contributors.
This is incredibly bad faith. If Oher signs an NFL contract and the Tuohys don’t want it upheld as his conservators that is a contract dispute. Contract disputes go through the courts. If a petition was never filed, then the contract is enforceable.
Yes, there I am making fun of you and others because you refuse to engage with how the legal system works. The conservatorship doesn’t functionally exist if it’s not being enforced. Oher went and signed contracts with NFL teams, and the Tuohys did not petition to have them voided. I do not understand why that is such a difficult concept for you all to grasp. Your proof is just a failure to engage with reality.
I already answered this. You just don’t want to accept that you were hilariously wrong
Remember we are in a society where common sense isn’t the norm, we live in the victimhood mentality, or excuse me some people do some people don’t.
So getting what you’re owed is not a victim mentality?
So you think NFL teams have idiots for lawyers who aren't smart enough to have the real party in interest sign the contract?
How would they know he isn’t supposed to sign his own contracts? Why would they think someone without any sort of incapacitating mental or physical impairment would be under a conservatorship?
edit: just for clarity are you all arguing that the conservatorship didn’t actually exist or that it ended before he signed an NFL contract?
we live in the victimhood mentality
Why yes we do. But the real problem is we live in a conspiracy theory world.
You often need that so people can be told what they are the victim of.
Only victims here are the ones reading this thread
Not me. It's a choice I make.
