Hey folks - as a member of the DawgNation community, please remember to abide by simple rules of civil engagement with other members:
- Please no inappropriate usernames (remember that there may be youngsters in the room)
- Personal attacks on other community members are unacceptable, practice the good manners your mama taught you when engaging with fellow Dawg fans
- Use common sense and respect personal differences in the community: sexual and other inappropriate language or imagery, political rants and belittling the opinions of others will get your posts deleted and result in warnings and/ or banning from the forum
- 3/17/19 UPDATE -- We've updated the permissions for our "Football" and "Commit to the G" recruiting message boards. We aim to be the best free board out there and that has not changed. We do now ask that all of you good people register as a member of our forum in order to see the sugar that is falling from our skies, so to speak.

Moms are extra special..mine was. I am so very sorry for your loss.
My Mama passed away eight years ago today. I love, and I miss you Mama. I’ll see you and Daddy again… one day.
I’m the little guy sitting on my Daddy’s lap, and I was already wearing red. The year was 1966. I was just three years old. How lucky was I to grow up back then, to be with this family, and living in the GREAT STATE OF GEORGIA!!!!
So sorry Chris. Dip into that deep well of positive memories and enjoy them.
"But we do not want you to be uninformed, brothers, about those who are asleep, that you may not grieve as others do who have no hope. For since we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so, through Jesus, God will bring with him those who have fallen asleep. For this we declare to you by a word from the Lord, that we who are alive, who are left until the coming of the Lord, will not precede those who have fallen asleep. For the Lord himself will descend from heaven with a cry of command, with the voice of an archangel, and with the sound of the trumpet of God. And the dead in Christ will rise first. Then we who are alive, who are left, will be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air, and so we will always be with the Lord. Therefore encourage one another with these words."
-1 Thessalonians 4:13-18
"And I heard a loud voice from the throne saying, 'Behold, the dwelling place of God is with man. He will dwell with them, and they will be his people, and God himself will be with them as their God. He will wipe away every tear from their eyes, and death shall be no more, neither shall there be mourning, nor crying, nor pain anymore, for the former things have passed away'. ”
-Revelation 21:3-4
Our DAWGS family, is the very best!!! Love all of y’all.
I lost mine eight years ago as well…still miss her today. I unfortunately know exactly how you are feeling.
I am so very sorry for your loss.
Just re-re-re-read this (again) for probably the three-hundredth time… and this is truly beautiful. Comforting, and it is peaceful. God’s word. There is no substitute. Thank you @CigarDawg
I'm so sorry for your loss. I lost my mother two years ago and my brother earlier this year, so I understand your pain and the grieving period you're about to go through. My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family.
The Word of God is the only true comfort and is steadfast in the depths of our suffering.
"Since then we have a great high priest who has passed through the heavens, Jesus, the Son of God, let us hold fast our confession. For we do not have a high priest who is unable to sympathize with our weaknesses, but one who in every respect has been tempted as we are, yet without sin. Let us then with confidence draw near to the throne of grace, that we may receive mercy and find grace to help in time of need." - Hebrews 4:14-16
My father-in-law passed yesterday morning and my wife is grieving as we speak.
God bless you, brother.
I am so very sorry. Please let your wife know we are praying for her.
