He has been torrid of late. Doesn't seem to chasing pitches as much as in the past. IIRC that was Bobby Cox's mantra - win as many series as possible. Winning them all? Yikes!!
And they didn’t split the four game series like they did earlier against Arizona!
3-1 series win against a division rival is huge with the Phillies coming to town tomorrow! The Phillies have now lost 9 straight…..let that sink in! Got swept by us and now the Cubs!
Gotta love it!
Ritchie is a keeper…7 strikeouts and only two Earned Runs in a seven inning debut win!
Grown man baseball is what we are witnessing now!
oh and the Hawks have an 18 point lead over those arrogant Knicks with 3:11 to go in the first half!
Hawks dealing some D and O!
Up by 8 at the half (after a 12-2 run by the Knicks to end the half)….now have increased the lead back up to 15 after two sweet threes by Alexander- Walker!
With 9:35 to go in the third!
Hawks up by 8 to start the fourth quarter
Hawks win! Hawks win! Hawks win!
Up 2-1 in the best of seven with another home game Saturday!
McCollum with the game winner with 12.5 seconds left and they get a stop!
Kaminga, Alexander-Walker and Daniels were the definite mid-game heroes!
Only nit…..if Jalen Johnson could’ve hit a free throw down the stretch it wouldn’t have been close!
Great win for the Home team! Go Hawks!
You had to think the Phillies would play hard tonight losing 9 in a row and facing a Braves team pulling away. And they did. Turner homered. Harper homered. Still wasn't enough.
Looks like Harris will be ok. Big hit off the bench that changed the game. Suarez a little shaky in the 9th but his stuff is so good he can get away with it even when he is off.
Love these guys!
You’re correct….the Phillies played hard, but still just lost their 10th game in a row!
8-18! Gotta be painful what with the aspirations they must have had coming into the season …… just think, two more losses and they will catch the Mets in futility!
Their own fans are calling them the “Philadelphia Mets”!
Hilarious!
@swilkerson7317 Michael Harris with 2 more rbi's raising his season total to 18. Now hitting.326 with a .581 slugging. He's really on a hot streak.
Braves win 6-2. Sale threw a one-hit gem with 9 K's in six innings of work. Braves first team in MLB to reach 20 wins. Olson with a 3-run homer in the first for all the runs they would need. Braves record vs NL east is now 10-3.
And still have not lost a series, can't say the same for those lousy stinkin (amazin) Mets.
And Sale’s moment in the third Braves up by six but the bases were loaded after he just walked Schwarber, Harper at the plate, clearly showed his competitiveness and guts!
Brice worked Sale to a 3-0 count and Sale proceeded to strike him out swinging to on three pitches to end the threat!
Turning point of the game right there…. a hit would have put the Phil’s right back into the game!
Gotta love these guys!
So far so good for the Bravos. I told myself that I'd tune in after college baseball season, if the Braves were in the pennant race. Hopefully they can keep this up through June/July. The folks I've talked to seem to think Walt Weiss is really making an impact -he certainly made one on Jorge Soler.
and clearly improved the weight training program
Hard to find anything to say about the Braves that hasn't been said. They are off to one he77uva start.
Riley still seems to be struggling. Would like to see him get it going. Yaz has been kind of a bust in LF. Not sure if he has it anymore. But other than that literally everything else is working.
Another month of this they will have an absolute stranglehold on the division.
