What's different about UGA commits?

  • They are not afraid of competition, as a matter of fact they thrive on it.
  • They have unshakable confidence in their own ability.
  • They desire to be a part of something bigger than themselves.
  • Their concepts of team, brotherhood and winning are innate, unlearned and natural.
  • While their plan may be for a career in football, they are wise enough to understand the value of a degree from
UGA. when compared to almost all other “football schools”.

  • They realize that greatness is not something they possess, but they something are trying to attain by getting
    better each and every day.

And while I'm sure lots of schools have some guys like this, I firmly believe that CKS is absolutely filling our roster with this type of young men. So don't get too upset when we miss out on a top prospect. And although he may be super talented, it just may be evidence that he is lacking in one of these qualities and therefore better off somewhere else anyway. Kirby is getting the guys we're supposed to get. The ones who are and will continue to be true winners.

They also all seem to believe that a NC is in the near future. Almost like a mission from God. Does OP or Hinton actually believe they are going to win a NC at Auburn or Michigan? Starting with the 2018 class, these guys are talking a National Championship. They understand that they are building a super-team and are targeting other top guys. That underground stuff is probably just as important to recruiting as the official stuff. It's a vibe I haven't seen in UGA...ever.

By good money I mean Russian Rubles wired from Putin's personal account and converted to unmarked bitcoin!

Don't forget the co-ed "escorts" and rental car loaners. Oh, to be a 5-star recruit in Athens...

Something yellow factored into it too. Is it still raining there (- unrelated question)?

All kidding aside, I have a genuine question? I really DO wonder??? Is it just me, or are there less Georgia players getting into trouble these days?

I've noticed too. I believe the last couple of incidents occurred during the season last year. Have we had one in the offseason this year? I can only recall Fromm and Cleveland getting into accidents.

I think that CKS is looking at what kind of student recruits are going to be. Didn't Seth just have and column about some recruits ACT scores. A kid as smart as Justin Fields or Jake Fromm is will naturally attract a better class of kid.

Yes. Also note there will be less publication of said trouble. Kirby learned from the best. Recruit higher touted players with less reg flags and keep things in house. Perception, less trouble within program.

The Trey Bishop story is still a question. Or maybe it never happened.

Bojangles will hibernate until 1100 DVs are reached. I don't care how bland or annoying I have to make my posts, we're getting that NC this year. Never letting the DV dereliction lose us a ship again

Meant to post to this comment rather than the one I did (no excuses). But this was buried (an excuse - sue me). The fact is that this apparently was the dialogue. Prescient, huh? Or, get this, life imitating art! Sayyyy, @12ed your name isn't Art, is it? Far out.

Billy Williams not being police chief anymore doesnt hurt. I have no doubt Kang is fully in control of campus law enforcement. Go Dogs

I agree. I see considerable evidence of character in our team members and recruits. There is a a great deal less display of "look at me" and far more "this is normal for our team" behavior on the field and on the sidelines and in interviews.

The University of Georgia is a challenging academic institution. The average student is very smart, had great grades in secondary school, and made very good scores on the SAT and ACT. Students at UGA, including student athletes, work hard at their studies. Either that, or they aren't going to make it.

Kirby seems to know what he wants. He is now at a school which is likely to help him attract smart young men very interested in both football and the classroom, and willing to work.

Kirby's is not an entitlement program.

    Go, Dawgs!

Fromm & his fishing lure in his own leg, & others dropping water skiing drag lines into his left hand, & I also heard that BIG BEN totaled someone’s vehicle that tried to run over him?
