Yeah I heard an interesting take from Stan Norfleet on 92.9 the game yesterday saying that he thinks Barrett should b the pick for the Hawks because they need a guy that u can just hand the ball to and say go get me a bucket which made sense so maybe youre right. Still didn't make sense to me that the best we could do with the #3 pick is a slightly better (I guess) version of Ricky Rubio in 1 of the deepest drafts in memory. 😂😂😂 Some things never change man😂😂😂😂

I got to watch him a few times at Auburn. Great battles against UK with Melvin Turpin, Winston Bennett, and Sky Walker.

Love Barkley, big man could ball and always spoke his mind. His claim as the #1 athlete out of AU is good stuff

Barkley was among the best offensive players ever, but he was one lazy bastud on defense.

During the Olympic Trials, didn't Bobby Knight once stop practice and put an X made of tape on the floor to symbolize "This is where Charles Barkley played defense"?

I was at a Warriors Rockets game when Barkley was with the Rockets.

He scored every one of the Rockets 4th quarter points and every one was a drop down pass where he backed it down in the post and scored on his defender at will.

Fat Chuck at a little over 6'4, would TAKE a defensive rebound outrun a guard to the other end of the floor and dunk over a Center on his way to 28 points 15 rebounds 6 assist 2 blocks and a steal. 😎😎😎

Seems right, Barkley even bragged about not playing defense. I wouldn't want him on my team just because of his attitude. He also was a huge jerk back in the day, but he was never boring.

I love the way Shaq taunts him and puts him in headlocks and whoops up on him on the set.

    Chuck don’t want none.

They MAY need someone like RJ Barrett e help take some ball handling responsiblity from Trae. If we had Luka, then yeah take Zion because he look to set Zion up first.

I agree, adding the perimeter length and scoring ability in RJ will allow more of a steph and klay style of back court. Besides Zion is good, but he will take a while to get his offensive game where we can rely on him to give us 16pts-20 a night

I don't care who is available. Zion Wiliamson is the nost exciting dunker since Dominique Wilkins. I cant stand to watch basketball. Bring him in and I will watch just to see if he can rip the rim off.

It's interesting that the game you enjoy was once derided by old timers. Today's game is a lot closer to the early days of the game where passing, spacing, shooting and driving were what mattered on offense.

Heck yeah he can jump out the gym but he knows shooting is a must in the NBA.
Plus I think LBJ is great but travels 50% of the time when driving the lane.

James Harden has the most traveling miles in the NBA

Boy, I wish someone would GPS a game for Lebron and James H...I'd love to know how many steps (legal and/or illegal) each takes. They are both travelling marvels. James H gets the nod when it comes to initiating contact. The concept of verticality is clearly dead in the NBA.

Lol and what the F is a euro step? Traveling as I see it

thats usually the response of those who lack the coordination to jump and dribble @ the same time....you took a dribble ...allowing you 2 steps post jump step ....also most of us were taught to play until the norm is established by the ref...then thats where you play the game...people (coaches) are fine with calls as long as its consistent...its when its not called both ways is when the problems occur.....but do high profile players usually get calls...yes ....but usually its because it was a point of emphasis and lots of tape has been watched.... just because it looks like a travel doesnt mean it really is....case in point ...steve smiths hitch and go...or jordans jab step....and some that live in the grey area ....but once it was decided it wasn't a call ...then it never was a call....like hardaways killer crossover...or iversons reg crossover...

TNT needs to replay Barkley knocking himself out running into Shaq when he played for Phoenix, I mean completely knocked out.

The so called Euro step is really a very coordinated move.
James Harden doesn't travel when he does it properly. Where it gets messed up is when it's done too far from the basket, it's a great technique when properly executed though.

I see what you’re saying but it’s not done that way most of the time. I guess I’m just to old because in today’s game the players travel, dribble illegally and get calls when it’s just good defense.

Honestly the game was in a great place just a few years ago, team defense was at a premium. The late 1970s up to the late 80s was not good for defense, then The Pistons and Bulls put the league on a defensive minded course that pretty much held till recently. Everybody wanted to build a GS type team that can play both great motion offense and defend, but there aren't many Draymond Greens and Klay Thompsons lying around.
