Nolan Ryan’s 5714 career strikeouts. No one else comes close.

Yep. Second place on the list is this guy you might have heard of, Randy Johnson, and he is barely within 1,000! That’s insane!!

Johnson recorded 4,875 Strikeouts and one dead bird,

I doubt anyone will record 4,876 K’s and two dead birds.

Nolan Ryan struck out eight players in MLB...

...and struck out their dads, too.

(Sandy, Roberto, and Sandy, Jr. Alomar; Bobby and Barry Bonds; Ken and Ken, Jr. Griffey; Tito and Terry Francona; Hal and Brian McRae; Dick and Dick, Jr. Schofield; Maury and Bump Wills).

He also whipped Robin Ventura like a.... oh wait... Gillette.

most of wilt chamberlains will never be broken. Mostly due to the fact that he was a man playing amongst garbage in those days. Many regular pickup players at your local Y could school those dudes in his day.

    That's an ignorant statement!

Who was the chick that dominated swimming in the Olympics? She was on another level.

    Michael Phelps.

No it was a woman. In the Brazilian Olympics. I remember her finishing and the 2nd place girl touched the wall and had to go down and back again to finish. It wasn't even competitive. Looked it up Katie Ledecky's is here name watch her longer races, she doesn't even have to kick while she swims that fast.

Mark Martin's NASCAR Record of 188.354 Average Speed at Talladega in 1997 will never be broken. It is the fastest track on the circuit and there were no cautions that day. Now that there are two automatic cautions with the new format, there is no way the record can be broken. Even if they do away with the current three stages and went back to the old format, the chances of a caution free race at a Super Speedway are very slim.

Ripken and Cy Young records will also never be broken.

If only NASCAR were a real sport. Lol

TBH: I thought you were talking about Jenny Thompson until you said Brazil.

As much as we hate Tech, the 222-0 will never happen again

And that needs an asterisk because it was borderline staged. Cumberland had disbanded their football team, but had to put together a volunteer team due to a contractual obligation.

Correct. John Heisman threatened to sue Cumberland if they didn't honor their contract to play GT that year.

Indeed. Especially considering that Bill Russell used to school Chamberlin regularly.

Yeah I believe the Kappa Sigma fraternity played to honor the contract

Also correct. Heisman was angry that Cumberland beat GT in baseball the previous spring using 'ringers'...or minor league baseball players....during that game. He got Cumberland to sign a contract for a football game the next fall, but Cumberland had disbanded their football team before the season began.

In addition to Cobb's .366 lifetime,
    54 steals of home plate
5 times stealing 2nd, 3rd and home in succession
    Three seasons exceeding .400.
4065 runs scored and batted in.
And what will really make you whistle, 23 consecutive seasons batting over .300.

Cobb's four season average from 1910-1913 was .402
