Hey folks - as a member of the DawgNation community, please remember to abide by simple rules of civil engagement with other members:
- Please no inappropriate usernames (remember that there may be youngsters in the room)
- Personal attacks on other community members are unacceptable, practice the good manners your mama taught you when engaging with fellow Dawg fans
- Use common sense and respect personal differences in the community: sexual and other inappropriate language or imagery, political rants and belittling the opinions of others will get your posts deleted and result in warnings and/ or banning from the forum
- 3/17/19 UPDATE -- We've updated the permissions for our "Football" and "Commit to the G" recruiting message boards. We aim to be the best free board out there and that has not changed. We do now ask that all of you good people register as a member of our forum in order to see the sugar that is falling from our skies, so to speak.

Randy Johnson would have had a real chance at it, but he didn't figure things out until he was almost 30
Career No Hitters: 7 Nolan Ryan
Most hot dogs ate in 10 mins: 74 Joey Chestnut
Greatest distance spitting a table tennis ball: 42.1 ft. Ashrita Furman
Fastest Shuttlecock hit: 259 mph Lee Chong Wei
Most coaches lost off one CFB team in one year: 5 University of Alabama.
Awesome Bill qualifying at 212 mph at Talladega. Also came from 2 laps down to win and that’s before the lucky dog stuff.
Bill Elliot's record qualifying time at Talladega in 1987....212.809 MPH. That'll never happen again because of restrictor plates. That qualifying time and Bobby Allison's horrific wreck there during the same weekend are the reasons we have restrictor plates today. Allison took out 100 yards of the catch fence while going airborne at over 200 MPH in front of the main grandstands.
In college football, I don't think you'll ever see a RB have over 900 carries in a 3-year career like Herschel Walker did, or see him put up the nearly 5300 yards rushing again in 3 years, either. I don't think you'll see a 47-game winning streak in college football again or see a home winning streak like Miami's 58 games from 1985-1994. And although I hate to mention it....GT winning 222-0 over Cumberland.
Among the records I don't think you'll see broken in the NFL are Derrick Thomas' 7 sacks in one game, Otto Graham's 10 straight championship games, Favre's consecutive games played streak, and....although it's been close on occasion, the Dolphins' perfect season in 1972.
Those were the days. The game doesn't even look the same anymore. However, I still get a thrill walking into a MLB park a couple of hours before the game and seeing the beauty and symmetry of the field. Just love it.
58 carries in a single game, rb at Kansas
Johnny Vander Meer's back-to-back no-hitters in 1938. To beat the record, someone would have to throw three consecutive no-hitters.
Tony Sands...58 carries, 396 yards vs. Missouri. Nov. 23rd, 1991. Kansas won, 52-29. He also had 4 TDs that game.
As much as we hate Tech, the 222-0 will never happen again
And that needs an asterisk because it was borderline staged. Cumberland had disbanded their football team, but had to put together a volunteer team due to a contractual obligation.
I was gonna say these 2 and Walker's SEC rushing yardage
Brett Farves consecutive starts. 297 consecutive games!!! The real beast mode.
Might be broken, but got to give Chubb and Michel their dues. 8198 rushing yards by a duo.
Ty Cobb....... .367 lifetime batting average. Not a chance thats ever broken
