Hey folks - as a member of the DawgNation community, please remember to abide by simple rules of civil engagement with other members:
- Please no inappropriate usernames (remember that there may be youngsters in the room)
- Personal attacks on other community members are unacceptable, practice the good manners your mama taught you when engaging with fellow Dawg fans
- Use common sense and respect personal differences in the community: sexual and other inappropriate language or imagery, political rants and belittling the opinions of others will get your posts deleted and result in warnings and/ or banning from the forum
- 3/17/19 UPDATE -- We've updated the permissions for our "Football" and "Commit to the G" recruiting message boards. We aim to be the best free board out there and that has not changed. We do now ask that all of you good people register as a member of our forum in order to see the sugar that is falling from our skies, so to speak.

I'm pro censorship in all it's glorious forms. In fact I'm self censoring this post as I type.
You'll never know my truest thoughts, I won't allow it...so don't bother asking.
I think there was a growing need for mods around these parts, and a few specific instances (farewell Bojangles) that made it clear that @Jeffsentell needed some help. There is always a danger that we end up with an overzealous mod that negatively impacts the board, but it sounds like we are only taking five stars and a Grad Transfer or two. Hopefully, the less is more approach wins out, so far the folks identifying themselves as mods feel like the right fit.
So how would we know if we r a "new recruit" and was there any guidelines you use when picking the mods?
"New Recruit" is definitely within the last 13 months or less. Definitely.
Hmmmm how would you pick a mod.?.......well I say it is a lot like picking from a litter of a good bloodline of Labrador Retriever puppies, you just reach in and pick.
My guess as to why me......my charm of course
Thanks for the response. Kind of knew @JeffSentell wouldn't answer.
Also, every litter has a runt.... as for charm, I can see that. You have to have the ability to tell someone they screwed up and have them say thank you for correcting them.
@JeffSentell might give some criteria here on what he's looking for. For the first batch, I think he took in consideration posters that were nominated on another thread, especially the ones that raised their hands when ask if there were any volunteers willing to step in. I think he chose a pretty good first round. Diverse in thinking and ideology, but in agreement on board standards and moderating them.
I misunderstood the the new recruit comment. I was thinking something else.

I was referencing another sentell post about starting another recruiting class of Mods.
Clearly, no guidelines were considered or even exist. @Kasey is a Mets fan???
