I wonder if The Hawks's HC explaining that ''this team is built for postseason success'' and ''Trae's game is perfect for the postseason'' after game 1 of this series had something to do with the mess we saw tonight ? Getting cocky after a few postseason wins probably isn't smart, especially with a roster full of young players.
like anyone wouldn't have taken a split headed back to Atlanta...
This was a blowout though, a huge, **** blowout. Trae's bad tendencies came out again, in spades. If he could only control his impulses to take 30ft shots and limit the wild turnovers.
Teams have had games like this in playoffs and come back strong, we'll see how they respond.
Not a bad idea
Hawks we’re on the road about a week for 3 games in a row. Couldn’t have helped any in the last game in Milwaukee. Hoping for renewed energy and big wins upon returning Home.
I am there as long as they win or tie.
There are a lot of playoff examples of blowout loses where a team comes back strong. As long as we reset and take tomorrow night. My biggest concern is Bogi’s injury, but getting Reddish back helps.
I'm not sure that reddish will be a net plus, it's been awhile since he last played and he's yet to be consistent on offense. He might have some value on defense though.
No question the dude is rusty. He has to be. However, we are thin on wing players, so even giving some rest to our starters is valuable so long as he doesn’t turn the ball over too many times during those minutes.
Bogi just needs to hit some open threes and Cam needs to play good defense. That's all we can ask from them. Its unfortunate all our wings got hurt but it is what it is
I wonder if the team would have gotten this far if it hadn't been forced to lean heavily on veterans because of injuries to Reddish, Hunter and Collins ?
Pissed the game away
Bogdanovic's poor shooting cost the team another game. I know the claim is he has an injured knee, but he's not moving like he's injured, he's just playing like sheet.
25-7 run to end the game.
It goes to show why teams with all time great players who want the ball in the toughest situations almost always win the championship in The NBA. Trae needs somebody dependable to get the ball to. That is why I keep harping on Bogdanovic, skill wise he has the ability to hit big shots, but does he have the makeup ?
Tonight is pretty much do or die. Going down 3-1 and heading back to Milwaukee would be all but insurmountable. They faced the same situation against Philly, lets hope somebody steps forward to take pressure off the injured Trae Young.
