Don’t sweat it just the way this board is. If you post something that goes against what Sentell or South Fla have said posters get upset. Happened to me when I pointed out what insiders on tos are saying regarding Evans. Is what it is.

Yes more details on the issue with the phone have surfaced. Our staff didn’t fully know those details until last week. What’s being said that went down is very similar to the first situation that earned a suspension. Just like the first time, I don’t know the intimate details, just know enough that something physical went down again with a coach a second time, and Evans is said to be the aggressor, again. Doesn’t matter when his coaches let staff know, you simply can’t do this; especially if there’s already a perceived history of this behavior.
There was a clear plan rolled out to Evans prior from UGA, allowing us to get back into the mix with him. Evans allegedly violated the plan/stipulations placed on him. This is no longer about the HS coaches, it’s about not following what our staff asked him to follow.
There is still chatter about the ACT as well. So lots of input, making it more fuzzy, don’t truly know what’s going on. It took about 1.5 weeks to get clearer details with the first incident.
We should know soon if he still has a spot available. Not expecting an announcement from our side per se, but if Evans is going to EE, another school likely will get their opportunity by today to land him.
FTR, this late in the game, I do want him as a Dawg. I think he’s a Noah Sewell player for me; luxury position but the talent is so great and unlike anything we have, it feels like a necessity. We will see what happens but as it approaches, temper expectations somewhat.
thought is that he wants out of his LOI. The reason why he didn’t announce the other day even though UGA had already accepted and submitted his LOI during the early signing period.
I feel for the kid, I was in a similar situation in high school. Broken home, parents on drugs/alcoholic. Went to 3 different high schools, got into legal trouble. The only thing that saved me was being able to get waivers to join the Marines. Saved my life and future and allowed me to become a productive individual. Hoping Kirby can do the same for this young man, but he also must be willing to change himself and be open to the fact he may not play next year and be forced to grind and show the coaches he truly wants to be here. Not saying he doesnt, just my thoughts on if he comes in.

Trust kirby. He will make the best decision for the university of Georgia. He knows WAY more information than we do and will decide on that and not speculation.

The Zach Evans recruitment has now officially become a Sasquatch hunt. Video or photographic evidence is required to confirm his existence. Poop samples will not suffice.
We need people with feet in the bushes outside Butts-Mehre to document his arrival. Classes start Tues. and registration is tomorrow, so he should be arriving sometime between now and Mon. night.

With or without Evans I'm happy with our 2020 class. Staff just needs to keep B.Jones and SVPG locked in and get the BPA. Bout time for us to start stressing over the 2021 class.
I am mentally/emotionally moving on. It seems that is the best thing to do. All vibes from credible sources are hinting at this being a long shot and to temper expectations. If somehow it works out, I will be shocked and elated! At this point, in my mind, decisions have been made and I expect ZE to EE elsewhere next week.
