Hey folks - as a member of the DawgNation community, please remember to abide by simple rules of civil engagement with other members:
- Please no inappropriate usernames (remember that there may be youngsters in the room)
- Personal attacks on other community members are unacceptable, practice the good manners your mama taught you when engaging with fellow Dawg fans
- Use common sense and respect personal differences in the community: sexual and other inappropriate language or imagery, political rants and belittling the opinions of others will get your posts deleted and result in warnings and/ or banning from the forum
- 3/17/19 UPDATE -- We've updated the permissions for our "Football" and "Commit to the G" recruiting message boards. We aim to be the best free board out there and that has not changed. We do now ask that all of you good people register as a member of our forum in order to see the sugar that is falling from our skies, so to speak.

Are you suggesting that Cook wasn't a thunder back?
I believe Swift is at 207 now. Holyfield played at 218, 216 at combine. Also didn’t see the field until his third year.
Ty Davis was #1 thunderback target last year. Walks around at 230 ish with 4.5 40. That’s the prototype if you will.
Cook would be lighting for sure and IMO as far from a thunder back as anyone currently on the roster.
he was using the sarcastic font
You didn't catch the sarcasm
This is talking about RBs that we recruited together in the same class. Swift was the only back we took in 2017. Holyfield was 2016.
Ah, misunderstood the intent. Thought they were just referencing great pairs, not when we got two good backs in a class
Who’s more likely to be a dawg in yalls opinion evans or Milton?
ATM Milton. If I could only take one I'd take Evans. He'll be 215-225 before he ever carries the ball in college. Milton will struggle to stay at a weight where he has break away speed (think tae crowder).
How are you defining break away speed? I think staff wants a guy who will avg. 5+ YPC, capable of imposing his will, that can haul off a 40 yard run at any time. I don’t think Milton will be breaking 60+ yard runs consistently, but also don’t think we’ll need that from him.
I also don’t think this has to be an either or situation when it comes to RBs.
If we get beat for a target, I’ve never hesitated in saying that we lost straight up. There’s a reason every UGA affiliated intel dropper missed on Lloyd, leading up to the day he chose sc. Theres a reason we haven’t seen a flood of offers going out. There’s a reason today’s recruits call UGA RBU. There’s a reason Lloyd himself recently said UGA was the “perfect place” for an RB and chose another school that caught the industry off guard. Things are in a really good place for Dell right now.
I not an expert, and would love to have both, I just am not totally sold on Milton.
I mean, it makes sense. Gurley chubb and Michel are all time UGA greats and Lloyd could join them but imagine being the FIRST legendary back. Being USCjr's herschel walker would be objectively pretty cool. He will always be our biggest legend and always be a star and have a home in athens, why not try and set that up for yourself.
Why will he struggle with weight?
They have their legend in George Rogers and they also have their "if only" in Marcus Lattimore.
Kendall Milton reminds me a lot ofbMelvin Gordon he can bust a few plays wide open here and there but for the most part he can he a workhorse that gets a consistent 4 to 5 yards a carry.
Zachary Evans on the other hand reminds me of hybrid of Zeke and Barkley. He is a threat every time with the ball and space. He just has to focus and finish up better (saw his state gsme). *crazy he could be the second best Texas RB ever if he just lives to hype (kinda hard to beat AP)
If we could talk to Dell directly, in confidence, I’d imagine his take is very similar.
I just don't know how anyone on this board can provide much detail on these players. Unless the player is on your local high school team and you can watch him every Friday night.
There is not enough available to the public to be able to properly evaluate.
Some on here may have accurate information on what the coaches opinions are - and that could be credible info.
If the coaches are going hard for a player - just know that player is really good. If they aren't going hard - doesn't mean player isn't good - just may not be a fit.
He won’t burn as many calories as he eats/drinks
@texdawg i live in Texas as far as Evans goes so I see a lot of North Shore. They aren't world beaters just a lot of good players and a star.
Milton I saw live twice once while I was at a convention and once on a recorded game.
My point is - how do you know this?
I've never seen the eating habits rating system on any recruiting site.
