Hey folks - as a member of the DawgNation community, please remember to abide by simple rules of civil engagement with other members:
- Please no inappropriate usernames (remember that there may be youngsters in the room)
- Personal attacks on other community members are unacceptable, practice the good manners your mama taught you when engaging with fellow Dawg fans
- Use common sense and respect personal differences in the community: sexual and other inappropriate language or imagery, political rants and belittling the opinions of others will get your posts deleted and result in warnings and/ or banning from the forum
- 3/17/19 UPDATE -- We've updated the permissions for our "Football" and "Commit to the G" recruiting message boards. We aim to be the best free board out there and that has not changed. We do now ask that all of you good people register as a member of our forum in order to see the sugar that is falling from our skies, so to speak.

Had not heard of Arian Smith. I agree SoFl, very interesting. His 247 video showed him playing many positions, but good hands and toughness across the middle. Also, blocked a few kicks and was not called offsides either!
Yeah I like him because I trust the FL competition even though he’s playing in lower division. We’ve mentioned him here prior to the commitment from Corey Wren. Smith was one of the three speed WRs along with Wren and Henning.
With this news along with news surrounding guys like Jermaine Burton and Javon Baker, staff could be looking at a change for WR. Something seems to have changed during this dead period.
Im thinking they are going to use that “Raym” spot for the best player available- WR / LB / DL now.
I am hoping that Burton and/or Jarrett reenter the market.
Yeah I would be in the Burton camp, not concerned about him not being a 5 star. The more this cycle unfolds, the more I’m convinced this will be a full class at 25. Can’t see 6 pass catchers at 23-24.
I don’t believe anyone on offense will get processed but had staff pushed for Smith or Burton, I think both would’ve been Dawgs. We’ll see how it unfolds. Burton with Rosemy imo would be an elite WR haul.
From what I’m hearing, not likely to land Chris Thompson. Not sure if there will be more than 3 DBs. Just leaves Williams as we are really behind on Branch too in flipping him. Could also see just taking 2 CBs if they value offense this cycle. Smith gives them flexibility to pull him and figure it out later at WR/CB/S.
Feels like 25 is coming which means more attrition to current roster. Start looking at year 3 players that haven’t made an impact on ST.
LOS?
This was my list 3+months ago of potential early NFL or transfer for playing time if they don't see it happening at UGA.
Hunter was on the list also.
We have 84 currently so 1 open and 16 who are in their last year of eligibility so 17 will be available. 4 of the above are likely NFL bound so there would be 4 of the above 7 that if they go would mean 25 open scholarships. 3 of the 4 DB will have decisions to make as to what they believe best suits their future and there are 2-3 others in that same boat. I am not suggesting I would kick any of these to the curb, more that if you like playing football you want to play Saturdays as well. Growing up I played soccer and know I hated training during the week but did so because I wanted to play on Saturday/Sunday so I can understand similar feelings. Those that do leave shouldn't be vilified as not putting the team first they deserve our best wishes for their future.
What are you asking me? Line of scrimmage?
Something just seems off with Burton. A lot of schools in a short time.
Just saying. Something doesn’t pass the smell test
Yeah that’s why staff cooled initially. However the talent is undeniable. My fave WR this cycle. Top 3 across the board. Based on recent performances from Rosemy, if both end up in this class I think we’d have 2 of the top 5-6.
Burton, Demas, Fleming, Scott, Jarrett, Rosemy probably the top 6 imo.
Should we expect a visit? @SoFL_Dawg
Too soon haven’t heard his name mentioned yet if you’re talking Burton. @umooner shared the article written by Rusty this morning that says staff has been in recent contact with Burton and that Kirby is involved. When Kirby is involved it’s a safe bet visits will happen but has not been confirmed.
I was talking about burton and thanks for the info.
Happy Birthday Jay. Try to get that post count north of your age, sir. 💪
