wish I could have gotten some action down on this.
Kirby's got a crazy December planned it seems.
If there are any of those silent commits out there... sure would be a nice time to change the narrative. Otherwise Coach O , Dani, Saban, and Day are just going to continue to win the headline. Also actually kicking another teams A..S...S... would help too so our competency can stop getting questioned.

We tell them to wait on their public announcement. So far this year that’s Lloyd, Evans, and Walker that I can remember. Could add Tank even though my understanding is that he was never silent.
Talked to someone tonight very connected...same source I had many years ago. Just don't talk as much nowadays. Anyway, we don't have anything to fret over... really. I'm sure Walker got to listen to the ridiculousness of UF and AU...we Really love you. UGA is a player and doesn't care (they don't either). AU at least produces good DL to point to.

Fact is, ZW probably wasn't going to be a guy who makes or breaks UGA, particularly on D.
Now if DW goes to UT after TJ chooses elsewhere and the BPA on O we end up with is Mikey Henderson(meaning misses on Smith/X. Henderson/2nd RB) I'll be out with the pitchforks.
I disagree with a couple things though: there IS momentum, particularly in the social media age. These kids like what's hot, not all of them but enough that they will ignore depth charts to go to the hot program.
I submit that the ND game being our biggest recruiting weekend of the year may end up being a double edged sword. Amazing atmosphere but for some of these guys dragging it out it's a lifetime.
Notice how we haven't heard anything about the famous text chain in a good while. I think if you had cryogenically frozen some of our targets after the ND game and thawed them on Dec. 18, we could have had the #1 class.
There's still plenty of time though.

Curious. Do we leave scholarships on the table to increase next year's class if we miss on the guys we really want? I keep seeing this BPA # increase why not just take a few less like clemson has done and wait until we can use them on players we really want? Not like we are hurting at UGA for talent...

Here is some good news. In a recent social media post, Arian smith stated he was mainly down to Bama, Uga, and Florida. Eliminating Clemson, who many thought was our toughest competition
We just beat Auburn though. They're a 3-loss team.
Oregon just lost as well.
Yeah LSU is getting a lot of play due to being the new kid on the block, but I don't think momentum is why we are whiffing.
That’s fair. I think the situation of recruiting a player, them wanting to commit, and us saying “why don’t you take your time and look around” is a little disingenuous. If I was a recruit I would look elsewhere.
To @CZCashvilleDawg - no, I’m just a schmuck who follows recruiting and doesn’t have inside info direct from sources. But based on what our insiders on this website tell us, that’s the case with those players + maybe Flowe. That’s not a knock to our insiders at all, I just think it’s ironic that we mention how many silent commits we have just to watch them end up on other teams. Only one I have direct knowledge of is Tank
When I first started posting here, sharing info for NSD 2018, I was met with naysayers, those questioning the validity of the info I was posting. The info was proven accurate through “hits” that followed my posts. I said at that time, I would continue to post recruiting chatter as long as I felt, and had confidence, that I was posting was accurate information. For 2+ cycles it has been consistently accurate. Based on recent events, I can no longer be bullish about what I post regarding recruiting.
Confused is how I’d describe my mood right now. Simply put, I had both Sewell and Walker locked in this class based on what I was hearing. I was even more bullish on Walker. I can’t say what happened because I don’t know. Admittedly, this cycle is starting to feel “different” in comparison to the last 2 cycles.
That said, I’d remind everyone that we still have the best recruiting staff in the country, despite recent losses. There’s lots of talent currently committed, and our player per avg. remains second only to Clemson. I’ve/we’ve been holding out all season for these announcements that haven’t gone our way. No sugar coating that. If there’s a bigger fish on the hook, I haven’t heard about it as I have believed 5 DL would be the haul since the summer. That haul would include 1 of Walker/Dexter. Neither appears likely “today”.
So, I’ll be sticking around on the forum, but I’ll no longer be posting “real time” chatter as I hear it. This should help avoid emotional rollercoasters and major let downs. Once the confidence returns, things will return to normal.
As a reminder, we’re soon to be 11-1, with a shot to achieve the goals for the season. I still think we’re in a good spot to land 3 more 5 stars, along with big names at priority positions, because we have the best recruiting staff in the country. Regardless of how you feel about my posts atm, all is not lost with our team. ~100+ schools would trade places with us in a heartbeat. If you ask follow up questions my answer will be “I don’t know”, just putting that out there...
