- 3/17/19 UPDATE -- We've updated the permissions for our "Football" and "Commit to the G" recruiting message boards. We aim to be the best free board out there and that has not changed. We do now ask that all of you good people register as a member of our forum in order to see the sugar that is falling from our skies, so to speak.

The way it's written is confusing as hell. I just go off the info UGA provides and what my old coworkers at the University tell me. Guns are illegal everywhere unless you have a permit. If you have a permit you can't carry in professor offices, classes with a high school student, places where academic tribunals are held, dorms, frats, sororities, daycares, or athletic venues.
Edit: @AnotherDawg not trying to be a d.ick but want to make sure those on the forum who carry don't end up in trouble when they visit campus.
Sh*t I carry on a campus in state every day. That being said I wouldn't leave it unattended in a bag.
Thank you for the clarification
Me possessing something in GA that’s perfectly legal and always has been would make me a felon and has a 25yr sentencing guideline in NY and California if possessed in the same manner.
”Respect the law” all you want.
i have zero respect for that type of law that turns law abiding peopleninto felons that can have their lives taken away by the state.
If you think students should be allowed to carry loaded guns on campus you're maybe a bit off your rocker. That said, this will be pled down to a misdemeanor.
Only 3. I have 3X that many!
Anyway, it seems like a relatively harmless charge. The gun was in a bag that he later went to the Police department to claim. If he was involved in something nefarious I doubt he'd be **** enough to go to a Police station to pick up the bag. Then again, that's why we have the annual Darwin Awards. There's a lot of really dumb MF's in this world.
Perfect example of just being ..shall I say..Not Too Smart....
How many of you with CWP's put your guns in book bags....and go off and leave them "unattended"? Every responsible gun owner I know, never leaves a carry weapon out of sight, out of reach.
You only carry where you can. KNOW THE LAW!!!!
Except for this being a former player with an arrest issue, I don't see much more than a debate on carrying laws.
Thousands of 18 to 23 year olds drinking alcohol, taking drugs and competing for girls. Hey, let's add thousands of loaded guns to the mix and see what happens.
Let's keep talking about football on the Football Forum......
@ghostofuga1 please close this before it becomes an endless loop of guns **** vs guns are the answer to everything.
Edit: s u c k
I didn't start this discussion. If somebody wants to shut it down it's ok by me.
If the OP request it to be closed then it will be.
Let's not turn this into a gun is good or bad thing
True! Good debate is is one thing. Where and to what extent is another. Football related topics here. That's all..
Once again and I hate repeating myself, it is the OP's thread nobodys ok is needed but thiers, stay on topic
3 loaded....
