- 3/17/19 UPDATE -- We've updated the permissions for our "Football" and "Commit to the G" recruiting message boards. We aim to be the best free board out there and that has not changed. We do now ask that all of you good people register as a member of our forum in order to see the sugar that is falling from our skies, so to speak.

LOL, that's an amazing picture illustrating how stats without context don't always tell the whole picture.
Because every American has the right to do such. It's fairly simple. But gun ownership has far more meaning than just self defense. It's liberty. It's freedom. It's a bond of agreement between the govt and it's people. From the get go we said we trust the people of the USA to be a free people. Even free enough to own weapons. Because that's what we are all about.... at least we started out that way.
I understand your point, but that is strictly in a vacuum. Guns do exist in this country and there are lots of them.
So your definition of freedom and liberty is the ability to "shoot or be shot"? Free enough to kill each other.
I can tell it to you. But I can't understand it for you.
I’m wondering why a gym worker was going through his bag to find the weapon in the first place. Is that customary for student workers (or any worker) to go through your bags while your playing basketball? No wonder he needs to carry there. Btw, put me down for not having a problem with it. His blown coverage? Yes. A gun? No.
I understand to certain degree but this has haunted me for twenty years and no matter how hard I try to forget about it, it never goes away....
Because I can't afford bodyguards and when seconds count, the police are minutes away...
Was this a real question?
Now you get it. If you are **** enough to threaten my life, you are going to have a bad day. There are bad people who will try to hurt you...be it with a gun, a knife, a baseball bat, a brick...doesn't matter. The bad guys come prepared. What's your defense in the unlikely event that someone attacks you or your family? Seriously, what do you do?
I hear you loud and clear. Some have never experienced the scared $hitless feeling of having a gun barrel pressed against your head unwillingly. I have, and it definitely changes you. I swear to god, never again though. Never again...
Life is a mystery. Gotta take the good with the bad though. Maybe Parrish will get himself straight.
Yes Sir!!!
Maybe he thought it was a suspicious package left unattended. Living in NYC we are conditioned to view every unattended package suspiciously.
A gym bag at a gym is suspicious? Maybe he was checking for a wallet?
was the bag unattended? We live in a culture of fear where everyone overreacts to everything. I could see someone freaking out about it, jumping to conclusions, and saying something. Ultimately, I don't know..I wasn't there. But overreaction and fear are two things that could lead to something like this
This is the second time this has happened at Ramsey. Someone probably saw the gun or saw the outline of a gun through the bag. Employees don't just walk around looking at bags.
