Hey folks - as a member of the DawgNation community, please remember to abide by simple rules of civil engagement with other members:
- Please no inappropriate usernames (remember that there may be youngsters in the room)
- Personal attacks on other community members are unacceptable, practice the good manners your mama taught you when engaging with fellow Dawg fans
- Use common sense and respect personal differences in the community: sexual and other inappropriate language or imagery, political rants and belittling the opinions of others will get your posts deleted and result in warnings and/ or banning from the forum
- 3/17/19 UPDATE -- We've updated the permissions for our "Football" and "Commit to the G" recruiting message boards. We aim to be the best free board out there and that has not changed. We do now ask that all of you good people register as a member of our forum in order to see the sugar that is falling from our skies, so to speak.

So far, two of the new mods have been appropriately invisible in their new position. Another has made a few very professional comments to the group. The fourth has made several blatant attempts to let everyone know he is a mod, while showing a tendency to perhaps enjoy being a little too involved. I hope that changes.

I anxiously await the opportunity to use any means necessary to ensure that he complies with the spirit and demeanor of this great message board.
As long as you aren't calling anyone names or being generally nasty I'm pretty hands off. We had a thread about Malkom Parrish's arrest for a gun turn into a debate about gun ownership etc and it's one of the more civil threads I've seen with sensitive subjects in a while. The only thing we did was talk about changing the category it was in which (to me) is harmless.
We had an issue in the 2020 commit to the g thread where names of silent commits got out and someone asked us to delete the comments w/r/t those '20 croots. It was something I thought was fair because those young men deserve to make their moment theirs and not have it spoiled on a message board.
Other than some playful (or not so playful) barbs thrown our way, I think everything has been kosher. Now if/when we lose that first game on April 20, all h-e-l-l could break loose
Your are pretty articulate and contribute a lot here. So why talk in circles. You got something to say or someone in mind just spit it out.
@AnotherDawg if you sign out of your account and go to the home page it should show up
GO DAWGS!!!
Ah so! Thank you sir. I guess I did see that once upon a time, forever ago. Interesting that it disappears upon login. Since I stay logged in it's never there. Imagine that's true for lots of folks. Maybe the IT guys should fix that. It would be a good reminder to some of the more problematic posters.
I am sure once it is all hashed out a rules announcement thread will be posted
BAN? BAN? MODS? ....BUELLER????
HaHa!! @christopherules !!! You slide them in there at the best times!!!
Going to add another recruiting class of mods soon.
Sorry, folks. That roster in Athens wasn’t built in a day.
Took a Smart man about three classes.
Thank you sir. Hopefully, I am helping to raise all of my "little Dawgs" right!!!
The state motto is: "Truth, Justice and Moderation."
The board is getting more moderation. Hard for me to do stories and pics and video and try to be a 4-star Dad (at least) and juggle all of this stuff.
A man needs help. A man found some very good help with our first four mods so far. There will be more.
Big thanks to @dawgnms and @ghostofuga1 and @Kasey and @Teddy for being our early enrollees.
We have a good board. Lots of traffic and views and good people. But the aim is to make it better. These guys made it better by helping me look for those who do not make it better.
We can have nice things. Especially with these guys around.
-Let's have fun first and foremost. But not at the expense of others.
-What we're aiming for is fun and engaging banter. Mature. Mostly. Professional. Smart.
-Don't act like you were raised in (insert the city your most hated SEC rival calls home here.)
-If you're a new recruit, you better live up to the classes that program has signed of late
I was asked to be a mod but I felt the hours they wanted to work with the pay ($2,750/month) was not worth it. I do think a little moderation is a good thing on a site like this. I would like to see the technical issues resolved, especially since they are new. But I am sure they will get there. I think the silly filter should be removed or updated. I can say ass but not wei.rdo
Everyone wants to see rules. I hate rules. Remember: I am a card-carrying member of the liberal media. Freedom of speech. Pretty big deal there for me.
When people post things here, I'd like for them to own them.
The playcalls here are pretty basic.
1) Treat everyone here like you would somebody at your tailgate. We can all manage that. We've all been to tailgates, right?
2) If you are at a certain tailgate and don't find it to be your thing, you just leave. You go find another tailgate. You don't mess up their tailgage. Go find a better thread like you would a tailigate.
3) Some folks on our board treat rival fans at their tailgate better than they would regular dedicated posters on here. Think about that. There is a reason why everyone here is on a DawgNation forum.
